  • If I could leave a negative star, then I would. Me and my wife went to tour this place to possibly enroll our daughter in a few months when she turns two years old. Our initial contact with the employee was very welcoming and respectful. We walked down a hallway to check out the two year old classroom and upon opening the door we immediately witnessed and heard yelling and screaming. One of the employees was literally screaming at the top of her lungs at one of the kids about a diaper change. She looked up and saw us and never changed her Tone or demeanor, and continued to yell at this poor child In the two year-old classroom until we walked out and left. The sweet lady who was giving us the tour was so embarrassed that she told us she understood if we wanted to walk out And cut the tour short. Which we did! We were informed that this employee would be fired however we left before any action was taken. Please be wary of this place This is no way to talk to children or any human Being for that matter. And if she was treating this kid like this in front of us, makes me wonder what happens behind closed doors.

  • Now that I am done with my Child Custody battle, I’d like to express how terrible my experience was with this place and the unprofessionalism from the office manager Amy. The first start of the week of pre-K for my child, everyone was alerted that there was a lice out break and this seemed to happen every week. The food that I observed my child eat for lunch was rolled up ham and corn.. food looked as if they served criminals in a county jail. Approximately 3 weeks into being here for my child, my son told me that a student from afterschool touched his private part. I as a Deputy brought this up the next day and come to find out they allowed older kids to hangout with younger kids for their after school program. Amy then tried to brush it off by saying that it was possibly an accident and she would speak with the child. Not the parent but the child. Mind you guys she pulled me into the office and shut the blinds away from other parents. My son is very smart and articulates himself very well and this place did the bare minimum when it came to this concern. When I would drop off my son in the morning, I would sit in the parking lot to answer a phone call or send a text. To which Amy asked the court guardian ad litem if I was homeless, mind you I own a home to which it’s none of her business but this alone was very unprofessional. They accidentally over charged me and refused to reimbursed and told me that it would just turn into credit. My child did not continue to be at this place. As a mother who wants what’s best for her child, please visit other daycares.

  • My son has been going here for about two years and I cannot say anything but great things about this place. At first my son was hesitant, due to an experience at a previous school but the teachers made him feel very welcomed and comfortable. I absolutely thank every single person who works there from the bottom of my heart! They are truly amazing, and they care for your children as their own. <3

  • My daughter has attended since she was an infant and is now in Pre-k at Chestnut Mountain Academy. Staff has always been supportive and attentive to any concerns and she loves going each day. I am so thankful for the teachers she has had and the friends she has made the last few years.

  • My son only has gone here for a week. He was having a hard time adjusting as I’ve been a stay at home mom his entire life. He came home upset a few days but I think it more so had to do with adjusting to being told what to do by another adult. The staff was amazing at making me feel reassured and confident that he was safe. The director and Ms Kara are the kindest women I think I have ever met and in just a short frame of knowing them I would send my child here again in a heart beat! They make you feel like you’re apart of their community even in just a short frame of time . The only reason we left was because of a family matter that just made more sense for our family but this school will make you feel confident your children are safe. Even if your child is like mine and it’s a brand new experience and they have to adjust to new authority figures. Please reach out to them! They are the kindest humans!

Is Chestnut Mountain Academy a licensed child care provider in Georgia?

Chestnut Mountain Academy holds Georgia record CCLC-39038, listed as "Open" by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning in Hall County. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov before enrolling.

What is Chestnut Mountain Academy's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?

Georgia rates Chestnut Mountain Academy 1 star, on a scale of one to three where three is highest. Quality Rated measures programme standards the state assesses, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence itself.

Does Chestnut Mountain Academy offer Georgia's Pre-K?

Yes. The state record lists Chestnut Mountain Academy as taking part in Georgia's Pre-K Program, Georgia's lottery-funded programme for four-year-olds. Places are limited and enrolment runs on the state's own calendar, so ask the provider how to apply.

Does this page show inspection results for Chestnut Mountain Academy?

No. Georgia publishes inspection and complaint history for each provider by fiscal year, and none of it is included here, so nothing on this page reflects Chestnut Mountain Academy's inspection record either way. Look the provider up on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov and read its visit history.
