I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this daycare. Throughout my son’s time here, I felt there was a significant lack of communication, professionalism, and support from the staff while I have been deployed and my parents had him. Several teachers made inappropriate and smart comments about my son rather than working constructively with him, Heather was one of them. Instead of actively redirecting him and helping him succeed, it often felt as though staff were more interested in criticizing him than supporting his development. What concerns me most is that my mother was not informed for weeks that my son was not eating his lunch. This is important information that should have been communicated immediately, especially considering I was deployed and my son was having a difficult time adjusting and missing me. The staff was aware of our family circumstances, yet failed to notify any one of an issue that could have affected his health, well-being, and emotional state. When my sister went to his Pre-K award ceremony, nobody checked her ID or asked who she was there for. She just walked out of the daycare with him when it was done. What if she had been a stranger? The security measures were also not being implemented, clearly. I also called several times and left messages because I am pretty sure I was overcharged as different staff kept telling my mother different prices, but never received a phone call back. As a parent, I trusted this daycare to care for my child, communicate concerns promptly, and provide a supportive environment. Unfortunately, that trust was broken. Better communication, compassion, and proactive engagement with children’s behavioral and emotional needs are desperately needed. I would not recommend this daycare to other families based on my experience. I left a 2 star review because I hear it’s harder to get rid of than a 1 star.
Mallorie HullumJun 6, 2026Very nice and clean facility. I really appreciate the balance of play and learning. My children seems very happy there.
LeilaniMay 1, 2026Ms. Farrah and Ms. Heather are fantastic and I'm so happy my child was able to be in their Pre-K program!
Heather DavisApr 29, 2026As a first time mom I just wanted to share my experience with this daycare. Immediately the first red flag for me should have been when I dropped my daughter off for her first day and the teacher had no idea she was getting a new student that day, it seems that this information was not relayed to her and right off the bat she did not seem too happy about this, since my daughter is only 15 months old I expected the daycare to be more communicative with me since this was my daughters first time every going to a daycare, however throughout the day I did not receive updates regarding my daughter, when I went to pick her up I expected her teacher to let me know how her first day went, how she behaved, how she did at nap time, or even if she ate her lunch or not, instead it felt as if I had to interrogate the teacher to get answers to all of these questions, she had no initiative AT ALL to let me know how my daughters first day went. Another instance was during my daughters second week here, her dad went to go pick her up and the kids were outside in the play area and he said he caught my daughter eating dirt right in front of the teacher and that the teacher wasn’t doing anything about it, when he told the director about this she said she would talk to the teacher about this and I’m not sure if she ever did. About 2 weeks ago my daughter went back to daycare for the last time because when she got home I noticed she had a bruise behind her ear and when I picked her up nobody mentioned anything to me about any incidents that happened during the day, I called the daycare the next day asking what had happened and was told I’d get a call back from the director which I never did, I had to call them again myself to ask for an update which was when the director said that she had asked the afternoon teacher if she saw anything happen and that she said no, but that she would ask the morning shift teacher the next day and would let me know, however I never got a call back regarding this. Overall I do not recommend this daycare specifically more for my daughters age range (15 months). They took no initiative at all since day one to be communicative, and I don’t believe the staff in the young toddlers classroom is fit to be working with young toddlers.
JasmineMay 2, 2025My twin daughters currently attend Pre-K here. They are in separate classes and all four of their teachers are wonderful. They come home every day letting me know what they've learned, showing me the projects they've worked on, and talking about their friends. My daughters have been attending this location since they were eight months old, all the way from the baby room now to pre-k. When it's time for them to go to kindergarten next year I don't know what we're going to do, we've had such an amazing experience with the teachers and staff here for the last four years!
Julianna JohnstonNov 1, 2024The teachers and staff at childcare network 296 are so welcoming and kind. My son loves his pre-k teachers, and he adjusted to his new environment so much faster than previous childcare centers. We’re very happy with the education and care he’s receiving during the school day.
