  • Coastal Cathedral has been such a great place to take our 6 month old. The staff is so kind, and so patient to answer any questions and talk about any concerns you may naturally have as a parent. Beth and Renee have been wonderful help through the enrollment process. Adjusting from maternity leave at home to leaving your baby with others can be so intimidating, but Coastal Cathedral has always made our family feel safe and secure and proven to us they are trustworthy. They update you throughout the day with pictures and are very communicative! The biggest bonus to me is I know our son is growing up in an environment that truly loves Jesus. Thank you Coastal Cathedral for being so great to us.

  • CCEEC has honestly exceeded my expectations. Reading the poor reviews from years ago is so sad, because they truly are amazing. And if you’re looking into a good day care for your babies, I highly recommend this place. And this is coming from a mom with anxiety lol. I’ve always been super skeptical about who I trust my son with. And he’s been with them since he was 3 months. He’s now 1 and shy away from 3 months. A whole year! I’ve never had any issues, or complaints about this daycare. The security is amazing. They have the app so you can see what your baby is doing at all times and they send pictures!! Plus on top of that, all the staff here are so sweet and caring. Nothing but good things to say about this place! Unfortunately I’ll be PCSing soon, and we have to say our goodbyes. With that being said, I hope Miss Shelia gets the recognization she deserves. She’s been the most wonderful and loving teacher, we could’ve ever asked for. My son loves her, as if she was his grandmother. And if you’re reading this, Miss Shelia, I cannot thank you enough for everything you’ve done for Matt. We’re going to miss you so much!! ❤️

  • Ramona does such an amazing job in her position and truly knows and cares for each child as do all of the teachers here!!! As a parent, leaving your child with anyone else is a nerve-wracking experience, and I truly feel at such peace leaving my sweet girl with this staff who not only care, but pour out love onto each child and brings smiles and brightness everywhere they go.

  • Very kind teachers, however administration was highly unprofessional and disrespectful. As a former educator/counselor, I was truly astonished at how poorly my child was treated and how easy it was to disregard my concerns without batting an eye. Not the ethically sound place I'd expected. They made up policies to fit their narrative as they went (policies that were never communicated nor even written anywhere in their handbook, and they readily admitted to this). Denied meeting with me to discuss these concerns, blew off meetings repeatedly, I could go on and on. Grateful for a few individuals, but overall very glad to be elsewhere. Be careful..

  • Update from Coastal’s Response: I should not have to call a company to discuss enrollment when I pay a $50.00 fee to be placed on the waiting list. YOU, as a business operation should have the responsibility to call me and discuss when you have the availability for my child. To your point, the waiting list is a pure scam. The email exchange was with a lady, Dachana. From my recent understanding, she is no longer there. However - the waitlist should stay the same. I’m not disagreeing that you may have great staff and families. After further research into viewing this as a daycare option, I firsthand know parents who have taken their child out and the reasoning. The Bright from the Start website is public knowledge with the visit reports and complaints being posted. Anyone viewing the daycare as an option is able to visit the website and see. ———— I signed up my son in early 2021. I paid the $50 to put him on the waiting list. He was born in late 2021 and I was told that they would have no issues getting him in after by March/2022 since I had him on the waiting list so soon.. A year on the waiting list at that point! Long story short…In March of 2022, no space; after multiple calls/visits, somehow we went from 4 in line to 11 in line and then I see on Facebook now in October of 2022 - parents are calling Coastal getting in and barely have been on the waiting list for the same age class. However, I call and I’m still #9???? Please explain to me how in the world that happens?!?!?! You can barely get ahold of anyone, & no one will email you back.. If you aren’t going to abide by a waiting list and your making people pay the $50 to be placed on the waiting list… the waiting list is basically a scam. Anyone who is paying the $50.. DONT DO IT. You will pay it and they will skip right over you! Also, after further research and knowing parents who had kids there and took them out- it’s a blessing my child did not go there. It seems like this place isn’t what it is supposed to be or what it used to be. All of the reviews are 2-5 years old & If you look on the Georgia State website, they’ve had multiple fines/bad ratings. I tell anyone I know to steer clear based on my experience and parents I know who had their child there.

  • Long story short: First time I called was on May 18th, and Ms Beth told me she should know by Friday if there will be something available and she would give me a call back. She didn’t call. I called again on May 24th, she wasn’t there, on May 25th I call again around 3:30pm because nobody returned the call and Ms Beth told me that that night she would know for sure and will give me a call back next day. So waited Thursday and Friday and she didn’t call me, so I decided to go in person that Friday the 27th and she was there and told me she would know for sure on Wednesday, June 1st, because she’s waiting for the parents whose children were on the waiting list to call back and confirm. She recommended me to go ahead and put him in the waiting list and pay the $50, I did so. On June the 3th I called and was told to keep waiting because the deadline for parents on waiting list to call back was next Wednesday, June 8th. So it was not the 1st anymore. I think I would rather to be told there’s nothing available instead of let me go through all of that. She just showed lack of empathy for parents looking for a reputable place to take care of their children and was just playing around, and I know there’s a lot of desperate parents looking for a child care. So they just took my money and didn’t care. I asked for a refund and I just got ignored, I tried to talk to the director and she’s never there. Ms Beth said she is the director (if she is her sister it is more than obvious why I got ignored with my complaint), but in their website it says it is Mrs Dachana. It is very disappointing that a church have this kind of people and this lack of organization and that don’t show empathy at all. I can’t imagine how they treat children and how they manage the whole organization of this place. Please, give me my money back.
