For 9 years I have taken my child to Country Kids since he was 2-months old. Now he attends during holidays & for Summer Camp. We love the staff & after all these years, my kiddo still enjoys going!
Cara SmithMay 4, 2026Ended up pulling my child out of the summer program because his safety from another child could not be guaranteed. My child many times did not eat all day until snack because he was given a choice to eat- he is 4 without the hungry desire at times. We were told the tuition we paid for was not to be refunded due to policy but we got told due to circumstances they could this time. 3 weeks later no refund-least of my issues. My biggest heartache is having another child be allowed to be a terror physically to others and be allowed to stay.
Amanda McLemoreAug 14, 2025My daughter in law went to pick up my granddaughter and was shocked. My daughter in law was told that her daughter (who is 1 year old) didn't eat at all the day before and had cried all day. My granddaughters eyes were swollen and she was horse from crying. My granddaughter is not like this, she is the happiest baby ever. One teacher was standing with her arms crossed just watching the little ones crying. No comforting. They didn't call to let anyone know that she was crying. It was when my daughter in law pick her up that she was told about it. In my opinion this is neglect and abuse. If these so called teachers can't or want do what these hard working parents are paying them for then they need to find other employment. I hope others read this so they will be informed before leaving their child in an uncaring environment. MY GRANDDAUGHTER WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.
Luteen HittJun 9, 2022Started taking our almost 3 year old boy here after moving to the area. He attended a different school since 4 months old and has always done quite well. The first week here seemed to go okay, but he seemed less than thrilled to be there. At the end of week 2, he was begging me to not take him and complained that a specific teacher was yelling at him. I have also seen first hand how some of the teachers handle the children a bit aggressively. Also, the TV’s are ALWAYS on, no matter the time of day. Furthermore, we were not given a single craft for the entire two weeks he attended. We left the school and my child is traumatized from whatever happened to him. He fights and cries to not be left at his new school but is happy when we pick him up. He is slowly starting to trust this new place. The only redeeming quality is the absurdly low cost of attendance.
Andrew KinneyDec 31, 2021This daycare facility is extremely well run. Meals are planned out for the month, children are engaged in creative activities, they are taught and they play outside on a regular basis. The facility is always clean and the staff is always friendly and professional. There are lots of things to engage the children and my child is always happy to go to school. I would highly recommend this day care facility. (My child is 1 year old)

Questions parents ask about Country Kids
Is Country Kids a licensed child care provider in Georgia?
- Country Kids holds Georgia record CCLC-1945, listed as "Open" by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning in Pickens County. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov before enrolling.
What is Country Kids's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?
- Georgia publishes no Quality Rated star rating for Country Kids. Participation is voluntary, so a provider without a rating has not been assessed under the programme rather than been rated poorly, and it is licensed and inspected either way.
Does Country Kids offer Georgia's Pre-K?
- Yes. The state record lists Country Kids as taking part in Georgia's Pre-K Program, Georgia's lottery-funded programme for four-year-olds. Places are limited and enrolment runs on the state's own calendar, so ask the provider how to apply.
Does this page show inspection results for Country Kids?
- No. Georgia publishes inspection and complaint history for each provider by fiscal year, and none of it is included here, so nothing on this page reflects Country Kids's inspection record either way. Look the provider up on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov and read its visit history.
