  • The owner is Very unprofessional and this is the center in “Conyers “I don’t know who she thinks she is, I have never seen an owner sit in a day care late afternoon… n the staff is not there. My child went there for less than a week, and basically the owner is letting me know that she can’t and will not bother with my child. Who does that? As parents said it’s all about the money! She also want to give me options as if I’m not paying her to take care of child for the day, I will have to pick up my child at 12:00 in the afternoon n then still collect my money for the entire week… I pull my child the same exact week and he start another day care the same week and I never get a call while at work or whenever u got picked up… never … “the worst “

  • Wonderful and warming atmosphere from the time you walk in. Ms T welcomed me and my children in with open arms at closing time and offered my children snacks while they viewed her facility and she got to talk with them. The facility is very loving, informative, and understanding! My experience has been great. Thanks

  • Very poor on communication and all about money. Say for instance, your child is a before care and after care student, and they are closed two, on the third day they are open and your child has to spend the whole day they don't try to compensate you for the days that they are closed, they are changing you extra for the one day that your child is staying there. ( They are money hungry)... As soon as you open your mouth it's about money. We appreciate the service but please give us a break sometime.

  • Only Daycare in the area that actually teaches the toddlers. Staff remain the same... Which is a plus in my book. Teaches toddlers starting at 1 years old independence. Ms. Wanda is hands down an amazing educator. Ms.Tawanna the Director is always positive and full of energy.

  • How rude can you be to cut the entire car rider line, to park a BUS, almost blocking people from exiting the lot?! Daycares DO NOT have any special privileges for morning drop off, only in the afternoon, as I see them lined up near the buses everyday. Morning drop off, you get in line like everybody else, when you get there.

  • This PreK program is by far the best. The teachers Ball and Jones are the truth. The director is just amazing and very friendly and personable When they tell you they will help your child get a great start in school believe it. And it's definitely going to exceed your expectations. They left a lasting impression on my daughter Miyani and our family. And I highly recommend them.

Questions parents ask about First Steps Child Development Center

Is First Steps Child Development Center a licensed child care provider in Georgia?

First Steps Child Development Center holds Georgia record CCLC-39611, listed as "Open" by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning in Newton County. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov before enrolling.

What is First Steps Child Development Center's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?

Georgia rates First Steps Child Development Center 3 stars, on a scale of one to three where three is highest. Quality Rated measures programme standards the state assesses, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence itself.

Does First Steps Child Development Center offer Georgia's Pre-K?

Yes. The state record lists First Steps Child Development Center as taking part in Georgia's Pre-K Program, Georgia's lottery-funded programme for four-year-olds. Places are limited and enrolment runs on the state's own calendar, so ask the provider how to apply.

Does this page show inspection results for First Steps Child Development Center?

No. Georgia publishes inspection and complaint history for each provider by fiscal year, and none of it is included here, so nothing on this page reflects First Steps Child Development Center's inspection record either way. Look the provider up on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov and read its visit history.
