We always fish in the pond behind the college people are usually pretty friendly
Phil DrummondMay 24, 2026Very small community college that is quietly acquiring vast real estate holdings for the strategic placement of satellite campuses throughout the region to meet the exponential growth in enrollment it continues to realize.
Bryan SquaredMay 5, 2026I have had an amazing experience at Highlands. Professional staff, help is always available in a timely manner during school hours, and my questions and concerns are always answered with care.
Christina DewMar 11, 2026Meant to post this review days ago. The Rome campus is beautiful! The staff were actually very friendly and helpful with answering my questions about the BSN program.
Billy GreeneJul 22, 2025Problem # 1: georgia highlands college is the WORSE school I have ever attended! There were way too many problems during my fall semester of 2023. First the tutoring center. I was having trouble with an assignment, so I went to tutoring for it. I had originally already had a tutor (online) who I consistently would go to every now and then. However, they said that they couldn’t help me with homework assignments but only with understanding the content. But when I attend the orientation, one of the staff members told me that the tutors are allowed to help homework assignments…. Strike one. The A & P tutor sent me to another writing tutor would could help me with the assignment. I made an appointment with the writing tutor, but when I arrived on zoom link...she never showed up. Instead she called me last minute saying that she don’t know how to work her device and doesn’t know how to help me…It’s the fact that she didn’t even bother to show but called at the LAST MINUTE! I spoke with a staff member (guidance counselor?) about the issue I was having, she sent me to the Director of Testing and Tutoring which was helpful. However, they said that their not allowed to help with this specific assignment and I could do this on my own…..Strike two. I was so mad that the staff members who made me go through all that just to tell me they can’t help me with the assignments. Mind you, my assignments was d due within three next two weeks after this situation happened…it didn’t make any sense. So i pretty much wasted my time making appointments with the tutors, only to not receive the help i needed. On top of that, mental health was horrible. I called the 988 5x because i stressed and having panic attacks by the point. I talked to my (in-person) tutoring about the situation, they were very helpful. But by that point i was already behind with the assignments, so i ended up dropping the course.

Why is Georgia Highlands College - Floyd exempt from licensing in Georgia?

What is Georgia Highlands College - Floyd's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?
