Guidepost has provided an incredibly nurturing and safe environment for my child to thrive in. Since staring at Guidepost, I’ve seen my son’s language and social skills continue to grow. He has become more confident, creative and independent under the instruction of his guides. From the staff to the administration, the Guidepost team works closely with parents to foster an enriching environment for each child. I appreciate the love, care and attention they provide. I’m also constantly impressed by the events, social opportunities and community building that the school puts together. I’m so grateful to our Guidepost family!
Mahfi KhanMay 13, 2025Our experience at Guidepost has been amazing. Our son has truly grown in the year he has been there both academically and socially. Mrs. Charlie and Mrs. Gina (the head of school and assistant director) are so kind, communicate consistently and have the best interest of your child in mind. They individualize the care needed for our son, and I know he is loved and taken care of by Mrs. Kelsey and the other teachers. I drop him off every day confident that he is learning, looked after and that he is having fun! They offer parent learning programs and family events frequently that truly make it a community atmosphere. My son also participates in Upfield Soccer and loves it. There are plenty of additional vendor-led activities like Spanish, ballet, and yoga as enrichment classes you can sign your children up for in the afternoons. I highly recommend Guidepost to anyone looking for a close knit and exceptional school for their little one!
MattOct 29, 2024Guidepost Marietta has been so wonderful for my child. They are my third child, and we’ve been through our share of daycares (full time, part time, corporate, church-associated, etc). For this child, the Montessori style was a perfect fit, but more than that, the school itself has been so welcoming and well run since day 1. Charlie (owner) is friendly, present, and definitely invested. She is easy to communicate with and takes the time to get to know the classrooms and students/families. The guides have all been wonderful, and any concern has been taken seriously and promptly. There are many family and community events that brings the Guidepost families together. There are so many convenient and great quality after school enrichments available (optional). I have really never felt more comfortable and that a place is “right” for my child in all three of my children until now.
Alycia CullenAug 24, 2024Since starting at Guidepost my daughter has been thriving in the Toddler 2 class! Ms. Natalia is absolutely amazing, everyone at Guidepost is great! We love this school and feel confident my child is being cared for in the best way possible. The skills she has learned since being at GP is invaluable. She is a strong independent toddler and this style of learning really suits her. Her language and life skills are really shinning and shes 2! Ms Charlie and Ms Genia are always available to answer any question.
CayleeMar 25, 2024As a fairly new parent to the Montessori world, I walked through the doors with my son a little blind sided. He has only been attending for a few months and the improvements in his behavior, creativity, and mindset have improved as well as increased immensely. This school is an emotional and financial investment, but it is worth it. The dedication the staff has for all of the children for their needs as well as their growth is more than satisfactory. The women running this school are very knowledgeable in child development and they truly care about the kids. It’s all I could have asked for when it comes to my son. It honestly makes me a little sad that the school year only goes up to six years old.
Melanie SantiagoFeb 3, 2024Guidepost Montessori at Marietta has been a grounding force in our family for over two years. My two children began at Guidepost in the Nido (infant) and Toddler classrooms. My family is making the transition to homeschool (we will be using the Guidepost curriculum!) and my kids recently said their farewells to this sweet community as they left their Children's House classrooms. It speaks volumes that my son (a momma's boy through and through) told me that on his last day he felt sad and wondered when he could visit his guides. My professional background is in child development and working with children/families who have experienced separation or other forms of trauma. As such, I have a borderline obsession with attachment theory and a personal passion for supporting emotional regulation in children. Having worked closely with DFCS/child welfare systems both domestically and internationally, I am also the "worst case scenario" mom. My first question for any organized group (sports team, school, etc) that will be interacting with my children is usually "What is your policy on sexual abuse? How often is it reviewed with your staff?" All that say - I'm a tough sell when it comes to childcare. But somehow Guidepost had me sold pretty early on. When touring the school, the guide who my children first interacted with (Ms. Enid) greeted them both before she greeted me, spoke to them at eye level (crouched down), and explained a few things about the classroom in a simple, easy to understand way. My children immediately felt safe, evidenced by the fact that they began to interact with the materials in the class while I spoke with the guide and asked to stay longer when it was time to go. Even when I've had questions or moments of pause throughout the last two years, my "concerns" have been addressed with the utmost transparency, urgency, and clear communication. There's not much else I could ask for. My family has adored this place and my children have absolutely thrived. My four year old is reading and finishes 300 piece jigsaw puzzles in his free time. My three year old is as independent and helpful as ever - sets the table for dinner, grabs a broom and sweeps when a room in the house is dirty, and can independently play for hours on end. Some of that is their natural tendencies, sure, but I credit much of their confidence and love of learning to their time at Guidepost.
