My son really thrived in this environment. The kids also develop independence at an early age. They even are involved with growing a garden. It is not just a school, it felt like a family!

This was a fantastic Montessori school for my daughter. The staff were gentle and caring, as well as attentive and proactive. My daughter progressed and grew so much here—it was such a perfect fit for her. Our family has been with Kay Shell Montessori since the beginning in 2022, and as parents who work far from home, the trust we have in this school is everything. Knowing that our two children (3 and 5) are not only safe, but genuinely loved, understood, and cared for throughout the day gives us an incredible sense of peace. What truly sets KSM apart for us is the Montessori foundation and how thoughtfully it’s implemented from as early as 15 months through age 6. Children are encouraged to learn through hands‑on work, meaningful movement, and real‑world experiences. Our kids spend a large portion of their day outdoors, exploring, gardening, and moving their bodies the way children should. Independence is fostered naturally, from caring for their environment to making choices and problem‑solving on their own, and healthy routines and habits are modeled and encouraged daily. Equally special is the school community itself — the director, teachers, parents, and children together create an environment that feels supportive, connected, and deeply intentional, where families truly know and care for one another. Because our children feel secure and confident, learning comes easily and joyfully. For a family like ours, being far away during the workday, that combination of strong education, emotional safety, and genuine care is priceless. Our family has been attending KSM since the very beginning, in 2022. I am so appreciative that all 3 of my children have attended/will attend the pre-primary and primary classrooms! The curriculum here is top quality. The teachers craft a well-rounded educational experience which balances rigor with every day application. My child is not only reading, but he is confidently presenting his reading and writing to the class. They are not only learning science from the classroom, they are experiencing lifecycles in the outdoor garden and cooking/tasting the food. KSM goes the extra mile to make everything special. (It is also very cool to see your 2 year old setting the table and cleaning up their plates after dinner, unprompted) My oldest has since transitioned to public Kindergarten. KSM prepared him by leaps and bounds. His first reading assessment at his new school placed him at a second grade reading level. He received student of the month his first month there. We are so proud of him and credit a lot of his academic development to his wonderful teachers at KSM.

We truly could not be more grateful for this Montessori school. Both of our children — our 4-year-old and 2-year-old — attend, and the growth we’ve seen in each of them has been incredible. The teachers genuinely care about the children. It’s not just about academics — it’s about nurturing independence, confidence, kindness, and curiosity. They take the time to understand each child’s personality and meet them where they are.
