  • I'm a first time parent of a three month old. When I had to return to work before planned and needed to put him in daycare I was very nervous as it is hard to trust handing your infant over to strangers. The staff at Kicklighter has made the experience very comforting and taken the stress out of going back to work and having to leave him all day. His teacher Mrs. Sislyn is amazing! She is so good with the infants. She takes care of them from the time they're just weeks old until they are 1 year and in that time is with them through so many developmental milestones. My son has been there only three weeks now and is already close to holding his own bottle and sitting up on his own. She continuously works with them throughout the day and is so sweet with them. I really appreciate the app they use to send notifications throughout the day of their activities. I feel very lucky to have gotten my child into this daycare, and to have Mrs. Sislyn there to care for him. A very happy parent, Shea Caruso

  • I love this daycare. The staff and teachers are welcoming. The infant room and both toddlers room teachers have been amazing with my boys. They keep me posted about what’s going on. If there is a concern it is handled immediately. I appreciate that. I recommend this daycare 10/10

  • As a first time parent of a child with special needs, I was concerned about what her experience would be like within a daycare setting. From day 1, Kicklighter has treated her like one of the kids (in a good way!); celebrated her milestones with us; and generally have gone above and beyond to provide wonderful care. Kicklighter's director, Stacey Davis, is always responsive to our concerns and needs, and it is evident that she truly cares about the kids whose safekeeping she has been entrusted with. They have a great staff who loves on our daughter and makes us feel that she is in great hands.

  • Let me start off by saying that Ms. Pat and Ms. DaDa were amazing with my daughter. I know that while she was under their care she was well taken care of and never once did I have to worry. My main issue with this facility is the director, Stacey and her repugnant attitude. As the Director of Kicklighter Academy, one would expect her to be open, welcoming and responsive to parent concerns. I find it very disheartening when I express my concerns about issues surrounding my child and they are met with a nonchalant disposition, accusatory undertones and an overall lack of care. While my child was there, I encountered issues of overfeeding my daughter with her breast milk (which I had to correct on my own by pre-making her bottles), my daughter receiving an injury and no one ever notified me when the incident occurred and a teacher even putting other peoples dirty shoes on her feet (despite her having her own shoes in her bag) and etc. I would not recommend this facility to anyone who ask about childcare.

  • Its a very loving and caring environment for kids. Very good safety and cleanliness for kids. Both our kids went there. Wonderful director and caring staff. Teachers will tell you daily about the things that kid is experiencing and learning. Teachers are actually teaching and not just 'watching' our little one.

  • If I were leaving a review for Ms. Pat & the Squiggles (infant room) I'd easily leave a five star review. She took great care of my son and I don't think she could love him more if he were a member of her personal family! Other than that, I absolutely would not recommend this daycare to others. The administration was completely unprofessional, teachers are often left over ratio, and etc.

Questions parents ask about Kicklighter Academy

Is Kicklighter Academy a licensed child care provider in Georgia?

Kicklighter Academy holds Georgia record CCLC-3548, listed as "Open" by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning in Chatham County. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov before enrolling.

What is Kicklighter Academy's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?

Georgia rates Kicklighter Academy 2 stars, on a scale of one to three where three is highest. Quality Rated measures programme standards the state assesses, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence itself.

Does Kicklighter Academy offer Georgia's Pre-K?

Yes. The state record lists Kicklighter Academy as taking part in Georgia's Pre-K Program, Georgia's lottery-funded programme for four-year-olds. Places are limited and enrolment runs on the state's own calendar, so ask the provider how to apply.

Does this page show inspection results for Kicklighter Academy?

No. Georgia publishes inspection and complaint history for each provider by fiscal year, and none of it is included here, so nothing on this page reflects Kicklighter Academy's inspection record either way. Look the provider up on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov and read its visit history.
