I’ve known Mercedes for a little over five years, and I truly cannot say enough good things about her or the daycare she now owns. My children attended this daycare under the previous owner, and I had complete confidence when Mercedes took over. She is caring, trustworthy, and deeply dedicated to the children and families she serves. While my children did not attend after Mercedes took over, I can wholeheartedly vouch for her as a person and caregiver. I would not hesitate for a moment to send my own children to her daycare. I would highly recommend Mercedes and her daycare to any parent looking for exceptional care in a nurturing environment.
brandy alexanderJan 29, 2026This daycare was a nightmare to deal with. Communication was misleading, things were handled in a sneaky and backhanded way, and what was promised never matched what actually happened. I felt disrespected and blindsided more than once. If you question anything or try to advocate for your child, you’re met with gaslighting and half-truths instead of straight answers. Parents who speak up are treated like a problem. Rather than addressing concerns, you eventually get pushed out for being an inconvenience. Most of this came directly from the owner/director, Mercedes. Based on experience, she was defensive, dismissive, and manipulative in day-to-day interactions. Accountability was avoided at all costs, and situations were constantly flipped to make the parent seem like the issue. This is how things were handled in real life, not just online. You can also see it in how honest reviews are responded to — defensive, aggressive, and no ownership whatsoever. That alone says a lot. Because this involves children, the way things are handled here is especially concerning. In my opinion, both the daycare and Mercedes’s practices should be reviewed by DECAL. Parents deserve honesty and transparency, and that was not my experience here. This place seriously needs new ownership. Parents should think twice before enrolling and proceed very carefully.
Isabella G.Dec 18, 2025Little Harvest Learning Academy is an awesome place!!! Mercedes and staff you guys rock!!! To the negative people leaving bad reviews, you need to get a life. Mercedes came and cleaned that place up. It looked like it was ran by a hoarder and unclean. Mercedes brings new ideas, she’s very creative and she is very active and present with the staff and children. The children are not just being babysat, they are learning. Mercedes is an anointed lady and you know what GOD says about that. So to all the negative people that’s watching and waiting for her down fall. Hold your breath and see who fall first. Mercedes keep pushing, you got this and GODS got you.
Tiffany TrammellNov 14, 2025I’m truly sorry you feel this way, but your review doesn’t reflect the reality I’ve seen inside this daycare. I’ve known Mercedes and her family for many years, and I’ve walked through those doors more times than I can count. My own grandson attends every single day, and his parents would never allow him to be anywhere that wasn’t safe, loved, and well cared for. What I see, every visit without fail, is a staff full of trained, patient, and truly devoted teachers. These children are not just supervised — they are known, understood, hugged, taught, and genuinely loved. You can feel it in the way the kids run to them, in the laughter in the rooms, and in the peace that sits over the place. That kind of environment can’t be faked. Yes, turnover happens — everywhere. That’s the world we’re living in. But that does not mean the quality of care has slipped. If anything, I’ve watched Mercedes step up even more. She is present, intentional, and she cares deeply about every child who walks through those doors. I’ve seen her give of her time, her heart, and her energy to make sure these families feel supported and these children feel safe. Constructive feedback is always welcome, but saying children would be “better off at home alone” is not only unfair — it’s simply untrue. The people at this daycare show up every day ready to love, protect, and pour into these kids the way good caregivers should. I trust Mercedes. I trust her staff. And so do the many families who see firsthand what really goes on inside those walls: children who are cherished, safe, happy, and growing in all the best ways.
Vanessa BivensNov 14, 2025I’m really disappointed in how this daycare has changed. It used to be a great place when April owned it the environment felt safe, the staff cared, and the kids were truly looked after. Since Mercedes bought it and took over, things have gone downhill fast. In my experience, the kids don’t seem to get the attention they need, and many of the teachers don’t appear trained or capable of handling young children in a responsible way. The level of care just isn’t what it used to be. I hope things improve, but right now, I would not recommend this daycare based on what I’ve seen. If it was possible to leave a zero star review I would. You'd be better off leaving your child at home to take care of themselves.
CNov 14, 2025We cannot say enough good things about Little Harvest Learning Academy! From the moment we first toured the facility, we were impressed with how clean and welcoming it was. His teachers Mrs. Angie and Mrs. Abie are absolute gems! They always keeps us updated with photos and notes on the daily app. He’s always excited to go to school to see his friends and teachers. I feel he is truly thriving at Little Harvest Learning Academy, We especially love the variety of learning activities and that the kids spend plenty of time playing outside. Highly recommend to any parent looking for exceptional care.
