  • Hi everyone, I would like to share my feedback about the school and the teachers. In my experience, the best school in Atlanta GA is Open Arms Lutheran Child Development Center, Alpharetta, and the best teachers are Ms. Kathy Darby and Ms. Fariba Mirzaei. As parents, we want our kids to learn, grow, and improve every day. Ms. Kathy handles children with so much care, patience, and love. Her teaching methods are excellent, and she really helps kids improve their focus and confidence. Before joining the school, my child only wanted to play and did not know reading or writing. But Ms. Kathy put in a lot of effort, and within just 45 days, my child started learning like a student with one year of training. The improvement has been amazing. I also want to appreciate Ms. Fariba, who has played a big role in helping my child learn discipline, routine, and good classroom behavior. She guides children gently but firmly, helping them understand how to follow rules, stay organized, and respect others. This has made a huge positive difference in my child’s daily habits. I am truly thankful to Ms. Kathy and Ms. Fariba for their dedication and hard work. I really appreciate both teachers for the positive impact they have made. Thank you, Open Arms, for providing such a wonderful environment for our children.

  • My son has been attending this preschool for a year now, and our experience has been very positive. We love the attention and care provided by the teachers; of special mention are Ms. Kathy, Ms. Fariba, Ms. Lora, Ms. Summer, and now Ms. Iris. Additionally, the finance manager, Ms. Laura, is very patient; she looks into any issues with earnestness and ensures they are resolved promptly. The director, Ms. Kisha, is always smiling and has a great sense of humor, bringing a lot of positive and nurturing energy to the environment.

  • I'd highly recommend looking at the date of the reviews before making a decision about Open Arms. The Director is AMAZING!!!! Can't say enough good things about Open Arms! All of our kids have attending school from ages 3-5. Each one has come out of the program ready for elementary school. The staff is wonderful and always greet you with a smile. Each staff member deeply cares about the students and will go out of their way to make them feel comfortable. We can't thank you enough for everything! We love you guys!!

  • Open Arms is truly the best daycare for so many reasons! The workers truly LOVE on your child, they have excellent protocols, detailed and caring administrative staff, VERY CLEAN, and their hours are the best. I reviewed and toured many daycares, and I immediately felt the difference at Open Arms. I felt like I was like our baby girl with family, rather than an outside caretaker. They are the best kept secret in Alpharetta, and I few extremely blessed to be so close to this facility. Ms. Eugenia, Maria, Betty, Adriana, Laura, Melody, and Ms. Barbara are all SO kind, thorough, and wonderful. I love this daycare so much, and can’t imagine our baby being elsewhere.

  • Both of my children attended Open Arms. My son is on the autism scale and they were very supportive of his needs. When the school system dropped him off at the wrong daycare on the first day of school Open Arms not only let me know he did not arrive as he should have they called around the area and found him and picked him up. They love all the children in their care. I was very happy with my children's care while they were there.

Is Open Arms Lutheran Child Development Center a licensed child care provider in Georgia?

Open Arms Lutheran Child Development Center holds Georgia record CCLC-86, listed as "Open" by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning in Fulton County. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov before enrolling.

What is Open Arms Lutheran Child Development Center's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?

Georgia rates Open Arms Lutheran Child Development Center 2 stars, on a scale of one to three where three is highest. Quality Rated measures programme standards the state assesses, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence itself.

Does Open Arms Lutheran Child Development Center offer Georgia's Pre-K?

Yes. The state record lists Open Arms Lutheran Child Development Center as taking part in Georgia's Pre-K Program, Georgia's lottery-funded programme for four-year-olds. Places are limited and enrolment runs on the state's own calendar, so ask the provider how to apply.

Does this page show inspection results for Open Arms Lutheran Child Development Center?

No. Georgia publishes inspection and complaint history for each provider by fiscal year, and none of it is included here, so nothing on this page reflects Open Arms Lutheran Child Development Center's inspection record either way.
