My son attended Primrose School of Smyrna West for 2.5 years. We had such an amazing experience here. All of his teachers were kind and professional. We absolutely loved Ms. Gaines, Ms. Cat, Ms Hester and Ms K. Each teacher made me feel like they loved my child like their own! The classrooms are always clean and organized. The children are engaged in meaningful learning opportunities throughout the day. Any time of the day I entered the classroom, the class was well managed and engaged with an activity. The owner, Mr. Guila, is frequently present. The director Ms. Nash and assistant director Ms. Odom (and previously Ms. Langlet) are always kind and helpful. My son is more than prepared for kindergarten next year! I can't say enough about how great this school was for our family.
Emily WurzelJun 1, 2026We feel incredibly grateful to have found this daycare for our two sons. From the very beginning, the staff has been warm, attentive, and truly invested in each child’s well-being and development. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing our boys are not only safe, but genuinely loved and cared for every single day. The communication is excellent, the environment is clean and engaging, and the teachers go above and beyond to make learning fun while encouraging kindness and confidence. We’ve seen such positive growth in both of our sons since starting here, and that means everything to us. Thank you for creating such a nurturing, supportive place for our kids to learn and thrive, we couldn’t ask for a better experience!
Lydia SimmonsMar 25, 2026We had such a wonderful experience at Primrose School of Smyrna West. My only regret is not enrolling my son sooner so he could have had more time with his amazing teachers, friends, and the caring staff. The love and attention they showed, along with how much he learned and grew, truly exceeded our expectations. We are forever grateful for the foundation they’ve given him and highly recommend Primrose Smyrna West to any family.
LaThanya LancasterSep 22, 2025We had a wonderful experience at Primrose School of Smyrna West. The teachers were incredibly caring, and the entire staff was always attentive and genuinely cordial. Our daughters absolutely loved going there, which gave us tremendous peace of mind each day. While it’s not the cheapest option, the quality of care, communication, and overall environment make it well worth the investment. You truly get what you pay for!
Reem MGMay 31, 2025We have had the absolute pleasure of sending both of our daughters to Primrose School of Smyrna West, one for the past 2.5 years, and the other for the past year. Simply put, this school has exceeded every expectation we had when it comes to early childhood education. The environment is always spotless and inviting, which reflects the school's deep commitment to safety and hygiene. The staff is not only professional, but also incredibly warm and friendly, greeting every child and parent with a smile. The teachers are caring, thoughtful, and truly accommodating to each child’s individual needs. They create a nurturing and engaging atmosphere where our daughters have thrived both academically and socially. The food program deserves a special mention. It’s nutritious, well-balanced, and something our girls actually looked forward to every day. It’s clear the school invests in every detail to create a holistic, supportive experience for both children and families. The owner is phenomenal; hands-on, approachable, and clearly passionate about creating the best possible environment for the kids. His leadership sets the tone for the entire school, and it shows in everything from communication to curriculum to culture. The only reason we are leaving this amazing school is because we’re moving out of the area. If we could pick up Primrose of Smyrna West and bring it with us, we would in a heartbeat. We will always be grateful for the love, care, and growth our daughters experienced here. Truly, it’s the best school we could have ever hoped for.
Issam MoussaouiApr 18, 2025Update 4/16/25 Following my initial review, the owner of Primrose personally reached out to me. He was sincerely apologetic, acknowledged that what occurred with my son’s teacher was unacceptable, and made it clear that this does not align with the center’s values. I appreciated his accountability and the time he took to address the situation. While my experience was disappointing and I stand by my original concerns, I do recognize that this may not reflect the experience of every family. I hope this incident leads to lasting improvements internally. I’m sharing this update to reflect the full picture — both what went wrong, and how the leadership responded afterward. _________ We had high expectations for Primrose, given its reputation as a premier institution, but unfortunately, our experience fell short. We ultimately terminated our contract after just one month due to the ongoing issues. The Good: The front desk staff was always welcoming, responsive, and polite. Their professionalism and kindness consistently made us feel comfortable. The Bad: Our son has eczema on his face, and while we understand that preventing him from scratching entirely is unrealistic, it felt like there was little effort made to help. Despite repeated requests to keep his face moisturized, we often picked him up with large, visible flakes of dry skin peeling off—a clear sign that this request was not being followed. The Ugly: The lack of organization and communication was concerning, particularly from his teachers. They frequently forgot previous conversations and seemed unaware of the purpose of the products we provided for our son’s care. His feeding schedule was inconsistently followed—he was overfed on multiple occasions, once to the point of vomiting. When my husband inquired, a teacher incorrectly blamed me for feeding him inappropriate food, even though he hadn’t eaten solids that morning. On another occasion, he went over six hours without eating, as evidenced by the full bottles sent home and lack of logging in the app. In addition, the app was not used consistently. I viewed this as part of the services we paid for and logs were often input out of order. There were also serious safety concerns. We once found another student’s bottle in our son’s bag, indicating a lack of attention to detail. Even more troubling, our son was allowed to rub a sore on his head to the point that it bled. With three or four adults in the room, it’s difficult to understand how this was allowed to happen. Given the repeated incidents and lack of improvement, we made the difficult decision to end our relationship with Primrose after only a month. We expected far better from an institution of this caliber. I recognize that the classroom our son was in is new, but it often felt as though the lead teacher was still finding her footing. Additional training and stronger oversight could significantly improve the quality of care and attention to detail. -Melanie W. Owens, esq.
