We came from the best program in Charleston where our son was so incredibly loved, to a program that could hardly welcome us as we walked in the door. It made me physically sick to my stomach walking in and dropping my one year old baby on the floor with nothing but a brief hello while they tending to the infants in the classroom and he was left to fend for himself. We have complete respect for GA sick policies, but in that time frame he was there he got hand, foot and mouth from another student, as well as the flu. He was out more than he was in which is common with any kind of daycare. However, my issue was the total lack of empathy from the owner, Jennifer. Jennifer could not call me fast enough to come pick him up and never checked in on him. There was no remorse for how he was feeling, or addressing our feelings as parents. When I came to pick up my son one day, I stood there for about 2 minutes waiting for someone to bring him to me. I had to physically go over, pick him out of his highchair and clean him off myself because the staff member could not be bothered. We picked this school based off the flexible pick up and drop off times. Jennifer sold us a false narrative and only confirmed her lack of empathy for our child when he needed some extra time at home to sleep. She told me during the tour that he could be dropped off anytime, but denied him coming to school when I let her know he needed some extra sleep at home and I would be dropping him off at 10. Instead of calling me or showing any type of care for me or my family, I was dismissed and told "not every school is the right fit for a child". When I gave her another chance to make it right, she kicked me off the brightwheel app and refunded me which I assume was a hush refund so I would not share our experience. This entire experience has left me feeling so frustrated and sad for our sweet little boy. I have NEVER left a negative review on anyones business, but when it comes to the care of your child I truly think people need to be made aware of where they are sending their previous gift.
Victoria DunnApr 21, 2026We’ve been so happy with our experience at Saint Simons Day School ! From the moment we walked in, we could tell this is a place where kids are genuinely cared for and encouraged to thrive. The staff is warm, attentive, and always greets every child with a smile they’ve truly created a nurturing atmosphere that feels like an extended family. The curriculum strikes a great balance between learning and fun, helping kids build confidence, social skills, and curiosity. The communication with parents is excellent they send regular updates, photos, and are always happy to answer questions. We are truly sad that we have to move, because leaving this daycare is one of the hardest parts. They have set the standards and expectations incredibly high for what a daycare should be, and it will be hard to find another place that compares. We appreciate the clean, safe facility and the thoughtful approach to both education and emotional care. It’s clear the team takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the care they provide. We highly recommend Saint Simons Day School to any family looking for a loving, professional, and engaging place for their little ones.
Day CoronelJan 25, 2026We’ve been extremely happy with our child’s daycare. The extended hours and consistent availability have been a huge help for our family, especially compared to other daycare options. The staff is incredibly caring and always transparent with communication, which gives us real peace of mind. We truly feel supported and confident leaving our child in their care.
Rebecca Gould StrotherJan 22, 2026We came to Saint Simons Day School due to another daycare closure on the island. I believe this was truly a blessing from God to have gotten an infant spot in such a short period of time. Since being there, our baby Josie has gotten the best care. The staff are truly dedicated to these little babies. They always are very observant and communicate everything efficiently to us. Not only do they take great care of our baby, but they also have been helping us with solutions for her feeding plan that has been extremely difficult since she has been born. We are so relieved to have a place for Josie to go while we are both working and not have to worry at all. The owner and assistant director are amazing. They have been extremely involved and helpful with our transition and are always there with answers and suggestions. We are truly blessed to have our baby there and wouldn’t want her anywhere else. Thank you to the owner, assistant director, and staff for the excellent care.
Brittany ClayJan 15, 2026My children have been attending St. Simon’s Day School for over a year now and are currently enrolled, and I can honestly say it has been such a blessing for our family. You can tell that learning is truly a priority here the teachers are engaged, intentional, and always focused on helping the kids grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Any questions or concerns I’ve ever had have been addressed quickly and thoughtfully, which gives me so much peace of mind as a parent. The staff is wonderful and truly feels like family. They know my kids, they care about them, and they pour so much love and effort into everything they do. I couldn’t recommend St. Simon’s Day School more!
Allison MillerJan 8, 2026Dear All, I’m writing to express our deep disappointment with the recent experience at your school. Our family has been loyal and honest, attending your center since our child was in infant care. Unfortunately, we’ve observed ongoing stuff turnover and a lack of consistent supervision, which has affect the quality of care. While we understand that bitting incidents can occur among toddlers, we feel that the school has not taken adequate steps to address these issues or to ensure a safe and nurturing environment and other kids actions!!!! We were promised three teachers in the classroom and additional support to manage behavioral concerns, but these commitments were not upheld. Despite multiple conversations expressing our concerns about our child’s behavior and well-being, we were met with vague responses and no real solutions. What’s more troubling is that our child was dismissed without any prior warning or opportunity to resolve the situation- this was both shocking and unfair. We feel that some families are given preferential treatment, which is disheartening. Like many others, we work hard to provide the best for our children, and finding alternative childcare in less than 24 hours is incredibly difficult. And not to mention owner is never there and always young staff members! We hope you take this feedback ack seriously and make the necessary changes to ensure all children and families are treated with fairness, respect. /‘d care. Thanks.
