We are very grateful for the wonderful experience our son Elías had at Sheltering Arms at Cobb in Marietta, Georgia. He learned so much during this year, especially English, which was a big challenge for him at the beginning. We truly appreciate all the love, care, and dedication shown by Miss Valerie Byrd, Miss Layla, and Ms Lariesha. A special thank you to Miss Valerie for the positive impact she had on our son. We highly recommend this Pre-K 100%. They work with so much love and dedication. Thank you for everything!
Eliosar AtalaApr 30, 2026My daughter has been going here since she has been 7 weeks old. The communication is amazing, i love the procare app it tells me when she drinks, use the bathroom and communicate with teachers. They involve her in all of the festivities outside of the school time ( such as fall festivals, etc) Her being In this infant room has helped her sleeping schedule, her being able to hold her bottle . Me and her father love ms ursula and ms caroline. Also thanks to the director ms lariesha for being soo good at her job .
Priosh TaylorNov 18, 2024I have nothing but positive things to say about Sheltering Arms. My daughter enjoyed going to school and was above her grade level going into Kindergarten. The staff was always friendly and responsive to any questions.
Brandon DanielsDec 16, 2020We absolutely loved it here. I wish we came here first because we had a terrible experience at another childcare facility but this was the best place for our Alex. Everyone was amazing, Admin with miss Lariesha, the nutritionist, and his teachers Melodi, Chenaka, and Maryam. He made good friends, learned everything he needed for kindergarten, and always came home with fun stories. They made school fun and safe. If we ever had concerns they helped without question. Especially when COVID happened and everything shut down they made sure we had resources like jobs, food, and utility help.

Questions parents ask about Sheltering Arms - Cobb Center
Is Sheltering Arms - Cobb Center a licensed child care provider in Georgia?
- Sheltering Arms - Cobb Center holds Georgia record CCLC-121, listed as "Open" by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning in Cobb County. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov before enrolling.
What is Sheltering Arms - Cobb Center's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?
- Georgia rates Sheltering Arms - Cobb Center 2 stars, on a scale of one to three where three is highest. Quality Rated measures programme standards the state assesses, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence itself.
Does Sheltering Arms - Cobb Center offer Georgia's Pre-K?
- Yes. The state record lists Sheltering Arms - Cobb Center as taking part in Georgia's Pre-K Program, Georgia's lottery-funded programme for four-year-olds. Places are limited and enrolment runs on the state's own calendar, so ask the provider how to apply.
Does this page show inspection results for Sheltering Arms - Cobb Center?
- No. Georgia publishes inspection and complaint history for each provider by fiscal year, and none of it is included here, so nothing on this page reflects Sheltering Arms - Cobb Center's inspection record either way. Look the provider up on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov and read its visit history.
