I would never recommend Small World Daycare to any parent. From my experience, this was one of the most unprofessional and disappointing childcare facilities I have ever encountered. The atmosphere did not feel warm, welcoming, or caring, which is the bare minimum parents should expect when trusting someone with their children. I left feeling extremely concerned about the level of supervision and how behavior between children was handled. In my opinion, situations that should have been addressed immediately were not, and it gave me very little confidence that every child was being properly cared for or protected. Instead of feeling reassured, I walked away wondering whether the staff truly had the attentiveness and professionalism necessary to work with young children. As a parent, I expect a daycare to provide a safe, nurturing environment where children are treated with patience, kindness, and respect. Unfortunately, that was not the impression I got here at all. I would strongly encourage parents to tour carefully, ask plenty of questions, and trust their instincts before choosing this daycare. There are too many wonderful childcare providers out there to settle for a place that leaves you feeling uneasy about your child’s well-being.
Joshua GrantJul 25, 2026I changed careers and landed two counties away from where I live, in need of an easier commute to save on time I was searching for daycares in Thomaston. I was recommended Small World by a previous parent and their review was nothing but excellent student focus and caregiver support. When I met with the owners of Small World I was nervous to explain my situation, and they would discourage me from enrollment. Without hesitation they welcomed me and helped me through each step to ensuring I got everything required for both my kids to attend. For the quality of learning, socialization, enrichment and activities the price for tuition could not be more worthwhile for the fundamental growth of my two kids. As a plus, the mobile app access and quick access to staff is an added bonus as a parent to stay informed and involved. My children on day one came home upset they had to leave and woke up excited to go back, that, that ladies and gentlemen, is what a school is suppose to mean for a child. My prayers and heart go out to the staff for their relentless effort, consistent care, and unconditional service. Highly recommend this school for any parent.

Malik HarrisJul 10, 2022Great child care!! Always communicate and are on top of everything! My two year old was not good with his colors when he first started with Smallworld and now he knows them all. They have great curriculums and teachers!
Molly McCordOct 15, 2020This is the absolute worst daycare in Thomaston. My child came home with an unexplainable busted open head, scratches (which looked to appear as being from another child) on his arms and legs, he was sunburnt and had tons of bug bites (which is something that could have EASILY been prevented if the staff would have done their job correctly). Policies aren't implemented and I am overall COMPLETELY disgusted with the facility. You can just tell the facility is not properly cleaned with the smell that comes from the room that my child was in. The staff handled my complaints in a very unprofessional manner which is ultimately why he was IMMEDIATELY withdrawn from the facility. I know one thing, Small World FAILED and NEGLECTED my baby.

Questions parents ask about Small World Child Care Center
Is Small World Child Care Center a licensed child care provider in Georgia?
- Small World Child Care Center holds Georgia record CCLC-32922, listed as "Open" by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning in Upson County. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov before enrolling.
What is Small World Child Care Center's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?
- Georgia rates Small World Child Care Center 2 stars, on a scale of one to three where three is highest. Quality Rated measures programme standards the state assesses, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence itself.
Does Small World Child Care Center offer Georgia's Pre-K?
- Yes. The state record lists Small World Child Care Center as taking part in Georgia's Pre-K Program, Georgia's lottery-funded programme for four-year-olds. Places are limited and enrolment runs on the state's own calendar, so ask the provider how to apply.
Does this page show inspection results for Small World Child Care Center?
- No. Georgia publishes inspection and complaint history for each provider by fiscal year, and none of it is included here, so nothing on this page reflects Small World Child Care Center's inspection record either way. Look the provider up on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov and read its visit history.
