  • Ms. Denise and Ms. Sarah are absolutely wonderful! The Academy at Ellison Lakes truly hit the teacher lottery with these two. They are kind, nurturing, and create such a safe, loving environment where my daughter feels comfortable growing and learning every day. I honestly don’t know how my daughter will transition to Kindergarten because Ms. Denise and Ms. Sarah have set the bar incredibly high for any teachers who come after them!

  • My child had Mrs. Bilbro and Ms. Genesis this year. They were wonderful teachers who made it excitinf and fun to learn new things. They always have fun events planned, show up in costume alongside the kids, and just overall show up for the kids. Thank you!

  • We are so grateful for Ms. Sarah and Ms. Denise, two truly exceptional Pre-K teachers who have made an incredible impact on our daughter and our entire family this year. What sets them apart is the perfect balance they strike between warmth and high expectations. They genuinely care about each child while also challenging their students and holding them accountable in age-appropriate ways. Their lessons are creative, fun, and engaging! Our daughter wakes up excited to go to school every single day, which says everything. The growth we've witnessed in our daughter has been remarkable. Her speech, literacy skills, writing, and math have all flourished under their guidance. In just one year, the progress she has made is something we could not have imagined before she started. Enrolling our daughter in Pre-K 3 has been a true blessing for our family. Ms. Sarah and Ms. Denise don't just teach; they inspire, nurture, and build a real love of learning. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

  • Pre-K 3 with Ms. Denise and Ms. Sarah has been wonderfully beneficial for our little Raylyn! Their support, understanding, compassion, and positivity have helped foster a wonderful learning environment for Raylyn to grow. Thank you both for all that you do! You both are admired and thought very highly of!

  • My husband and I drove up to try to tour this school and while waiting for us to get our little ones out the van, i noticed teachers or staff in the window and it looked like they were flicking us off. It was very uncomfortable. I did pull up to confirm the name of the school as I wanted to be sure to leave a review of what i saw. Now i did leave and tour the Kids R Kids about 18 minutes away and loved it! I’ll be enrolling my kids there instead of this school.

  • Two of my children attended this school. Although it started out great, the children tend to be neglected leading to incidents happening in the classroom and no one knowing what happened. They were very helpful with my first son. He was having issues in the school and they were who initiated his IEP program which I’m grateful for but I will say, one of their own employees advised me that I should not keep my son at this school. I appreciate her so much for looking out for my boy. My youngest son was literally a favorite at the school and then all of a sudden he started having “incidents” that I was never made aware of. It’s like a switch completely flipped. My youngest son was actually kicked out of the school. When I asked for backup/proof of the incidents, it seems like only ONE teacher hurried and made several reports that I was never made aware of. There were times I asked to see camera footage and my child was NOT in the wrong, the teachers just were NOT paying attention. And there were incidents they refused to show camera footage at all. My son has now been thriving and has had NO incident reports since I took him out of this school. Just be careful here. Hopefully the school has improved since then. My boys are both thriving now.

Questions parents ask about The Academy at Ellison Lakes

Is The Academy at Ellison Lakes a licensed child care provider in Georgia?

The Academy at Ellison Lakes holds Georgia record CCLC-47007, listed as "Open" by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning in Cobb County. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov before enrolling.

What is The Academy at Ellison Lakes's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?

Georgia rates The Academy at Ellison Lakes 2 stars, on a scale of one to three where three is highest. Quality Rated measures programme standards the state assesses, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence itself.

Does The Academy at Ellison Lakes offer Georgia's Pre-K?

Yes. The state record lists The Academy at Ellison Lakes as taking part in Georgia's Pre-K Program, Georgia's lottery-funded programme for four-year-olds. Places are limited and enrolment runs on the state's own calendar, so ask the provider how to apply.

Does this page show inspection results for The Academy at Ellison Lakes?

No. Georgia publishes inspection and complaint history for each provider by fiscal year, and none of it is included here, so nothing on this page reflects The Academy at Ellison Lakes's inspection record either way. Look the provider up on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov and read its visit history.
