My grand child attends this preschool. I was impressed the first time I walked in. What cheerful happy environment. And more important she growing and seems so happy there. I’m long retired but my background was in special education and early childhood. I was very impressed that the preschool was using the LENA program to monitor the children’s language progress. I was using it experimentally with students years ago… glad it’s being used on a broader basis than I was using it in special education. Nice job Family Tree,
Cherie RobertsMay 31, 2024Grandson goes there and it wonderful.
Debra BlandDec 28, 2023The staff here is absolutely hands down, magnificent!! Everyone is so kind and caring and they take such wonderful care of all of the children there. NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR PHOEBE FAMILY TREE!!
Kelly DraperMar 9, 2023I went here as a kid in the 90’s. I’m glad to see the Family Tree still open and still there after all these years. I’m talking 20+ years ago!!! The playground and everything is still the same as I remember it. My mother worked at Phoebe my entire childhood & I still til this day remember punching in the code to get in the door here every morning when she dropped me off exactly at 6A. I’ve been out of Albany since 2005. Continue to keep up the great work Family Tree team. Albany is my home and place of birth and I love to see everything still in place even after all these years.
Xavier RaShadDec 29, 2021I must say that this is an awesome school and that my child absolutely loved it here. He was always eager to go to school and he developed much quicker here than his last school. I wish they had a middle school and high school because he would definitely be going there. I want to Thank Mrs. Sharonda Lowe for her awesome work with my child, she was great throughout the entire school year with keeping the parents updated with any changes or well my child was doing. Mrs. Kim was awesome as well, there wasn't a day that i didn't see her running around making sure everything was going well and she interacted with all kids of all ages. Overall the staff here are great and my child and i will miss each and every one of them!
T NikkiJun 5, 2019My son loves this learning center. He has grown so much since starting at Family Tree. The staff are excellent and no other daycare can compare.

Questions parents ask about The Family Tree Child Development Center
Is The Family Tree Child Development Center a licensed child care provider in Georgia?
- The Family Tree Child Development Center holds Georgia record CCLC-279, listed as "Open" by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning in Dougherty County. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov before enrolling.
What is The Family Tree Child Development Center's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?
- Georgia rates The Family Tree Child Development Center 2 stars, on a scale of one to three where three is highest. Quality Rated measures programme standards the state assesses, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence itself.
Does The Family Tree Child Development Center offer Georgia's Pre-K?
- Yes. The state record lists The Family Tree Child Development Center as taking part in Georgia's Pre-K Program, Georgia's lottery-funded programme for four-year-olds. Places are limited and enrolment runs on the state's own calendar, so ask the provider how to apply.
Does this page show inspection results for The Family Tree Child Development Center?
- No. Georgia publishes inspection and complaint history for each provider by fiscal year, and none of it is included here, so nothing on this page reflects The Family Tree Child Development Center's inspection record either way. Look the provider up on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov and read its visit history.
