My daughter has gone to Kama’aina kids for 2+ years and we have loved it. The teachers are great, the learning environment is great, and the administration is very flexible and understanding.
Michael BruceJan 22, 2026When people say, “It takes a village to raise a child,” they truly mean it—and Kamaʻaina Kids Ewa Beach has been a huge part of our village. It takes a lot for me to trust others with my daughter, but to my surprise, it didn’t take long at all to feel comfortable here. Ms. Jenna, the Director, is incredibly communicative, approachable, and thoughtful. She took the time to answer all of my questions and has built a team that genuinely feels family-oriented and supportive. I also want to share that I noticed some older reviews mentioning concerns about management or workplace conflict. For context, my daughter started at this school around the same time Ms. Jenna was promoted to Director, and whatever may have happened in the past truly feels like it’s in the past. Our experience with both management and staff has been nothing but positive. Ms. Jess, my daughter’s first teacher in the 2’s class, was warm and welcoming from day one. She was always open to discussing any developmental concerns I had and addressed them quickly and thoughtfully. Most importantly, she helped my daughter feel safe and secure during her very first week, when everything was new and overwhelming. Ms. Jasmin, her current 3’s teacher, has such creative and engaging ways of making learning fun. My daughter comes home singing songs, counting in different languages, and even “teaching” me things she’s learned throughout the day. Seeing that excitement and confidence grow has been so special. The rest of the teachers and aides are just as wonderful. Even if they didn’t work with my daughter daily, they always greeted her by name and made her feel seen and welcome. It’s incredibly difficult for us to leave due to work-related reasons. If I could keep my daughter here, I absolutely would—or if I could, I would take the entire staff with us without hesitation. Kamaʻaina Kids was the very first village we built for our daughter outside of family and friends. Through their family-involved events, they created a strong sense of community and even gave us opportunities to connect with other parents and set up playdates outside of school. My daughter made her first best friends here. We will miss Kamaʻaina Kids more than words can say. Thank you for everything you’ve done for our family. ❤️
Serina PasionJan 15, 2026The school as a whole 10/10. The care that the staff have for my child is unmatched My son has learned so much since attending God Job special acknowledgement to Alize and Jocelyn 🤍
Chasity AntoineJan 10, 2026I witnessed a a caregiver on her phone while with the children. No quality interaction, nothing and it took a great amount of time for the caregiver to even look up from her phone. Such inappropriate practice.
S C.Jun 3, 2024I took my 3 year old here and though it seemed ok at first, after about a month, she came home with LICE!!! We had to buy so much lice shampoo and had to get all the bedsheets and couches cleaned. It was so disgusting. I reported it to the staff and they apologized but I decided to take my 3 year old out of there. A daycare is supposed to be SAFE and CLEAN. After this incident made me lose my faith in daycares and Im more hesistant now about putting my next kid on the way to a daycare if I have to return to work. Sad.
Joanna MNov 18, 2023I have a really bad cold and when I contacted Kama’aina Kids to report that my son will be late.. I spoke to CHAVETTE and told her repeatedly that I’m sick, and why I was calling.. she did not care to ask questions to confirm what teacher and student I was calling for to confirm.. instead she just laughed and acted carelessly over the phone. I reported her to my sons family advocate.
