Hickman Kindercare

My son has been attending Hickman KinderCare for over 1 year now. I had made MANY calls to the MANY local daycare spots around Waukee & Clive, as well as doing the walk through of the facilities. Hickman KinderCare impressed me from the start. It definitely stands out from the rest in the the area. Even after talking to many directors and doing walk throughs of said other facilities, I made up my mind within 5 Minutes that my son will be going to Hickman KinderCare and not the others for sure. The consistent updates via the KinderCare app, the responsiveness of the director and staff, the attention to detail, the care and responsibility of food allergies, everything is just perfect. Not to mention the secure entrances at every access point with 2 alone for the main entrance. Plenty of "after school" activity and events spread out the year for families to enjoy. And even offerings of more one on one specialized classes such as Phonics, Cooking, music and more, make it a definite plus compared to what's available in the fairly large area of Urbandale, Clive, Waukee, Adel Etc.

We absolutely LOVE Hickman kindercare. This place has been our village since our son was 8 months old! We have met so many wonderful teachers and families and have seen firsthand how passionate the teachers are about what they do. The curriculum combines learning with play seamlessly, and he always comes home excited to tell us about the things he learned!!!

My daughter loved this school. The staff is amazing, we loved her teachers. Her day was always filled with creative and fun activities. There was constant communication throughout her day (i.e. what she ate, what they reviewed, and several pictures). Thank you Ms Ashley for being so welcoming and great with our daughter.

Very grateful for the care and support of the Hickman Kindercare staff! Having to leave our little one every weekday is tough, but knowing he is happy and safe makes it easier. He has learned so much through the developmentally-friendly curriculum, and it’s been fun to watch his social side blossom as he makes friends. I love being able to keep up with all of his daily activities through the app and I appreciate that his teachers keep us well informed of his mood, naps, etc. We are so fortunate to have this center as part of our “village”!

We've taken all three of our youngest kids to Hickman Kindercare, and we couldn't imagine anywhere better. From the leadership to each teacher and cook, the staff is excellent. They not only show genuine love for the kids, but they are engaged teachers. These are things you'd expect anywhere, though. I think what sets Kindercare apart is the curriculum. When our older two hit kindergarten, they excelled. They were not only familiar with what was being taught, but the structure and schedule of the classroom--carpet time, centers, free choice, even picture days! The move to school was seamless and stress-free because they were so prepared. Childcare is a huge investment, and Kindercare delivers outstanding value.
