As a father of 3 I wanted to write this review watching my children develop and learn from this facility where they do everything right! My oldest has special dietary needs as well as allergies and the staf dose a fantastic job separating his food from the other kids the updates I get the fantastic comunication from the director Nichel is wonderful well worth the money to take your kids to a facility that cares as much as they do Susan and Marina run the 2 year old part and you can tell these women truly care for all the young children they teach and the make such fun educational things for them i can not recomend this place enough! If you want to start your children on the the best start possible to begin there education advanture on you send then to this facility!!
aj millerMar 19, 2026I am so glad to have had the opportunity to partner with New Horizon Academy in West Des Moines this winter to provide toys and materials to the children’s hospital at Mercy Downtown Des Moines. The partnership we have with them has been outstanding and we are already in works for planning our event for next winter. I appriciate there partnership in giving back to children and their families during some of the most difficult times.

Nicole JohnstonMar 2, 2026As a small business owner that has an inside look into countless daycares across the Des Moines metro, I highly recommend New Horizon Academy West Des Moines! I have partnered with this location for many years providing music classes inside the facility. The director and assistant director, Nichelle & Kori, are so professional, attentive, prompt and kind. When choosing this center you reap the benefits of it being a corporate multi state center with a family and community oriented feel! The facility is beautiful and clean with attention given to every unique space. Your child will have access to state of the art equipment as well as hand chosen curriculum and material. The staff and teachers truly care for their students and you will be treated as family. This center is a must see when choosing your daycare home!

The director, Nichelle, and assistant director, Kori, are both amazing—very supportive, professional, and genuinely caring. My three children’s teachers are also fantastic; they create a positive, nurturing environment where my kids are excited to learn and grow. Not only is it a great place for children, but it’s also a great place to work, with a strong, welcoming team.

I love the directors Nichelle and Kori they are very understanding when an emergency comes up and they are very welcoming to anyone and everyone!
