  • I'll be honest, we picked BEST on a whim. Best decision we made! I love they have access to the ATA gym, they take them to various parks around NL and have great field trips during No School weeks. Our son attends the afterschool and summer programs. During the school year, we chose the option that includes No School days. As a working parent who otherwise would realize a no school day is 2 days away, this is the perfect set up for us. I also love the consistency of being able to send our son there during winter and spring breaks. Another major bonus of BEST is the Taekwondo classes. For those parents who feel like their week nights are dominated with kid activities, this is one activity you don't have to drive them to! Our son loves the classes and is very proud of every belt he's earned. He is on track to earn his black belt by 4th grade. :)

  • My family has been attending North Libertys Best Academy for over 4 Summers and a few drop in days. I have read some of the negative comments and I have to say, I have nothing but respect for this place. I have 2 sons with ADHD. One who has behavioral impulse control disorder. We had a rough start because we were just figuring out our needs for him. Heather Cummings held him accountable for his behaviors just as we asked was honest and transparent for things that happened for the day. So we as his parents could address the behaviors and be on the same page. Our other son has sensory disorder and ADHD. But very quiet. Due to opportunities at camp, they put him in leadership positions, he blossomed one summer with Taekwondo and found his voice. All 3 of our boys have thrived there and found strength within themselves that they didn’t have at the beginning of the Summer. My middle son thought he didn’t want to go back last year because he was “a big kid” and realized how much he missed and needed the group and Heather let me add weeks in when he “informed” her on his own that he would be returning more often. 😅 We love North Liberty's Best Academy. It’s affordable, the hours are great for two parents who work early morning and late afternoon work schedules, they treat you like family, my kids feel safe, and looking forward to another Summer! Thank you! ♥️

  • We love North Liberty’s Best Academy. It took us a while to realize that this is truly an academy, not just a traditional daycare. The coaches instill virtues in our kids that prepare them for life through the tenets of Taekwondo. Our children are more courteous and respectful because of the consistent reinforcement they receive from their coaches. Our youngest is in the 3-year-old program and has truly excelled since joining. Coach Addison has done a wonderful job working with the kids. Deciding to join NL Best Academy was one of the best decisions we’ve made for our family.

  • North Liberty’s Best has been an incredible experience for our family. It is so much fun for our children, they genuinely look forward to going every week. The coaches are amazing and truly care about each child as an individual. Coach Cummings, in particular, is wonderful at communicating and always keeps us informed if anything seems off with either of our kids, which means so much to us as parents. The preschool program has been especially impactful for my daughter. She has learned so much and has gained confidence. They’ve created such a fun and positive learning environment that makes kids excited to participate and try new things. On top of all of that, learning taekwondo has taught both of our children discipline, accountability, and respect, skills that carry over well beyond the mat. We are so grateful for North Liberty’s Best and highly recommend it to any family looking for a supportive, engaging, and enriching program for their children.

  • North Liberty’s Best Academy has been an incredible BSAS program and summer camp, and Coach Cummings is a huge reason why. She puts so much thought and effort into everything she does, and it truly shows. The team genuinely cares about each and every kid, creating a safe, positive, and supportive environment. The kids are always busy and engaged through taekwondo, fun games, and exciting field trips that make every day feel so special. Coach Cummings is also amazing at planning ahead— whether it’s no-school days, delays, or schedule changes, she always has a plan in place and communicates clearly with families. Everything is well-organized, engaging, and fun, and it’s obvious how much heart goes into the program. I highly recommend BEST to all families!

  • Best Academy has been absolutely wonderful for my kids. Some days my son wishes I had picked him up later (and I have actually left and came back later to pick him up so he could finish an activity) since Best Academy keeps the kids engaged and has fun activities for them. Their taekwondo program is absolutely amazing to have as part of their schedule as it provides discipline and exercise. It has helped my son understand and work on life skills, such as focus, respect, and patience, and incorporate them into his daily life. Best Academy has been very accommodating with reasonable prices. When I needed help with transportation for taking my daughter to her activities, they were open to figuring out a way to help and they made it happen! Safety is a priority for them and they communicate with my kids’ schools and coaches to make sure my kids are picked up and dropped off correctly. It has been easy to approach and discuss with Coach Cummings about any issues my kids have, and she has effectively managed each situation. My kids are excited to go to Best Academy for their after-school and summer programs, and on no school or school delay days. This puts my mind at ease knowing that they are having fun and the coaches are looking out for them.
