Embarrassing to admit we were a family of kindercare for 6 years. We had concerns we had taken to management and were disrespected by the assistant director Ashley Fees, she told us she basically raised our first child and if we didn’t like how the center operated to take our children elsewhere. We attempted to resolve matters by working up the leadership chain. We met with the director Jessica Gathercole on several occasions, and then spoke with the regional director Rachel Ross. Unfortunately, concerns and issues could not be resolved and we didn’t ever hear back from Rachel Ross. We ultimately decided it was best we pull our children from this center as we no longer felt comfortable sending them there. Unprofessional staff/management. Inconsistent caregivers, lack of communication & updates regarding my children, high turnover, too many different caregivers in the infant room, they didn’t even attempt or try to minimize contact with the babies. They send out their lead caregivers from the infant room to fill in at other centers and then bring them back to work in the baby room. Caregivers giving my baby the wrong pacifier everyday and not knowing which one was my babies when I showed up. Caregivers constantly calling my baby by the wrong name. Terrible diaper rashes, diaper changes were charted on the app before they even happened. Couple incidents one where my babys tip of finger was sliced off and couldn’t be explained. This center does quite the shuffle with employees to say they are meeting ratio requirements, instead of focusing on the needs of the children and parents paying big bucks for what they think is quality care. The price we paid for care here did not match up with what we were receiving. I would not recommend Kindercare Pleasant Hill, IA to any of my family or friends, save yourself the headache and stress. Since pulling our kids we’ve regained our peace of mind, noticed a difference in how happy our children are when they come home, and also saved loads$$$. Our family has been in the KinderCare family for just about 6 years and we cannot be more proud of the environment that they have created. Our oldest started when he was 4 months old, and just started kindergarten where he is excelling due to the curriculum established. The teachers are and always have been fantastic and go above and beyond in any circumstance. The director and assistant director put so much effort and have created a family atmosphere. We feel very lucky to not only have a safe environment for our children, but the teachers and staff treat them as their own.

We’ve been at Pleasant Hill Kindercare for 3 years and love it. The staff are great, are engaging and take good care of our kids. The director is a responsive and runs the daycare really well. Our kids are learning so many things and my 4 yo will be more than ready for kindergarten w the education from time at PHKC. We have enjoyed being part of the PHKC family.

Kindercare is the best daycare center around! The Director Jess, has done so much to make this place the best. Both our girls enjoy coming here. They love the teachers. They go above and beyond to make our kids happy! They have started new programs and offer transportation to school age students. We have been using Kindercare since 2016 and would never trust anyone else with our girls!

My son started her at 18 months his very first center ever the staff were very welcoming and after the first week adjustment my son walks in like its home he is always so happy and the teachers have nothing but good things to say and our really great with him he always wants to go play woth his teacher ms.tammie he loves her he always smiles in the morning when we say lets go play with ms tammie he gets al happy!! I was so scared to ever put my baby in daycare and being my first and only but kinder care has shown me its ok and has been very helpful threw the process
