  • Our child attended this daycare for a total of eight days (late March to early April). During that short time, she experienced three biting incidents and sustained a bruise to her forehead, meaning she was injured on four out of the eight days she was in their care. While incident reports were provided, there was no proactive communication from staff (no phone calls or follow-up discussions), and no clear explanation of the steps being taken to prevent these situations from happening again. As a parent, this lack of transparency and reassurance was concerning. When I returned to collect her belongings and informed the director that we would not be returning, the response was brief acknowledgment followed immediately by a discussion of the required $400 two-week cancellation fee. There was no inquiry about our child’s well-being or acknowledgment of our concerns, which felt dismissive. A report was filed with DCFS. While they indicated they could not issue a violation, they did note that additional staff training would be conducted. We chose this daycare due to limited options in the area, but based on our experience, I cannot recommend it to other families.

  • Many issues with this place, my son has only been there a week. First day they knew he was potty trained except for naps and to only use a pull up spurring his nap. They used all his pull ups and never once put underwear on. Upon picking my son up he was in a different room with the one year olds. His blanket was locked in a closet and not used for his nap and was missing his sippy cup. The second day they put his pissy shoes on without socks on when he had extra shoes and socks and this morning I saw bruises all on his backside as soon as I saw them DHS shows up at my door, I'm furious! (UPDATE, THIS IS A VERY OLD POST SO... Even though this daycare had some flaws I would like them to know if they are reading this that calling DHS was the right thing my son was being abused by my boyfriend and by the time this happened with the daycare it was too late he put my son in the ICU with a skull fracture and TBI he had to be life flighted to Des Moines he almost died and had to relearn how to walk and talk so even though this daycare had some flaws they did do the right thing and called DHS so I would like to thank them for that. But my original post did have some points you guys need to make sure that you were following through with the potty training and allow them to have blankets at nap time.
