The Voyage Early Learning Journey

We are so happy to be at The Voyage! We were previously at another local daycare center, where everyday my 18 month old son would cling to me at drop-off and sob as I walked away. Within 3 days at The Voyage he was getting down willingly and running off to play. That alone was a huge win, but that is just the beginning of our experience there. The center has a calmness about it, that other centers that I have been in do not. The kids are sweetly reading books, doing puzzles, interacting with teachers and peers, and playing in the gym. The facilities are warm and inviting, with amazing places for kids to explore and learn in a natural environment. The teachers are smart, sweet, and care for my son, like he is their own. They also have a really great curriculum. High Scope focuses on all facets of child development including, social, emotional, problem solving, physical development and academic areas such as literacy, math and science. The thoughtful teachers are taking notes on each child’s development, beginning at the youngest infants. It is so refreshing that they are spending the time to really get to know my child and find what skills need to be nurtured. As an educator myself, I know how important this is. I highly recommend The Voyage for anyone looking for a high quality daycare!

Our family has been so satisfied with The Voyage! We noticed a few things that set them apart from other local centers: The staff- they are consistent and highly-qualified. We have seen very minimal turnover of the teachers, which is refreshing. The owner and assistant director are both friendly and informative, along with supporting continuous education to the teachers in the classrooms. The curriculum- there is structure to the curriculum, along with benchmarks for the kiddos to reach, which we have found to be SO helpful Class size- our son has approximately 8 students in his room, with 2-full time teachers. We love the investment these teachers put in, along with the small classroom sizes The Voyage could not be a better fit for our family!!

We absolutely love this daycare! My son is 5 and we moved here from the East Coast and he left his school that he adored. After a nightmare situation at another local daycare in Johnston, he was scared and upset about trying another school. The Voyage faculty and staff was absolutely amazing and patient with him. They were so loving and understanding. He loves school now and never gives us a hard time about going! All the staff is genuinely happy and extremely professional. Couldn’t be happier!

My son has been at the Voyage since the day it opened and I am so happy with how far he has come! The curriculum is based on each child and their way of learning. I've never been more impressed with any other center from the communication with his teachers to the quality of food and the owner that knows each child by name and is also hands on in every classroom. I am so glade that my family is part of the Voyage.
