  • We toured several different Montessori schools in the area when our daughter was 2 and most of them seemed decent. I will admit that during our search, we actually drove by Cloverdale Montessori the day before our appointment with them, and at first glance thought, "No, this one won't work because it's just a residential house. Seems weird." But we took our daughter to the appointment anyway and I am so happy we did. We were greeted by Miss Rose Marie (Sorry if that's spelled wrong), and for the first time in the many tours or school visits, our daughter was IMMEDIATELY engaged and focused. I was in awe. Their style of teaching had my daughter wanting to learn, understanding what she was learning, and understanding the importance of manners and proper etiquette. After being there for an hour and seeing what my daughter had learned in that short time, I was sold. That was in 2023 when my daughter began her education journey with Cloverdale Montessori and just finished their kindergarten and fun summer program three years later. I really can't say enough about this school. The owners Tim and Marie, their lead administrator/teacher Miss Carrie, and all the wonderful teachers there are some of the most caring and dedicated people you will ever meet. Their teaching style goes well beyond standard education...obviously and probably most importantly, my daughter learned SO much when it comes to reading, writing, math, science, and all the core education items that children need to excel in life, but I feel like my daughter became a better and kinder human from being around these teachers. They don't get political, they show no bias, they just teach human kindness. Oh, and I should add that once you get into the "residential house" that I initially thought wouldn't work, you find several different cozy learning areas and a huge, amazing backyard with all kinds of play equipment and fun activities. I'm sad that she has now "aged out" of Cloverdale, but am so grateful for the three years she had there. She learned so much, made so many friends, and made so many memories. I would highly recommend Cloverdale Montessori to anyone looking for their child's first school. You won't regret it.

  • I have had the best experience with Cloverdale Montessori where both my boys attend. What stands out the most are the teachers. They are incredibly patient, kind, and genuinely care about the children. Whenever one of my boys is upset, they take the time to comfort him and make him feel safe and loved. You can tell they truly enjoy what they do. I also appreciate the low student-to-teacher ratio because it means every child gets the attention they need. Another thing I love is that the school doesn’t feel like a big corporation where kids are just another number. It’s warm and welcoming, with real grass, beautiful trees, and outdoor spaces that make it feel like a place where children can truly be kids. The owners are involved, listen to parents, and are willing to make changes when needed, which says a lot about how much they care. The school also emphasizes kindness, respect, and good manners, values that are so important to our family. I also love that it’s a multicultural environment where children learn alongside families from many different backgrounds. I would recommend Cloverdale to any family looking for a loving, supportive, and nurturing school for their children.

  • We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Cloverdale Montessori. Our daughter, Ellie, absolutely loves going to school each day, and as parents, there’s nothing more reassuring than knowing she is in such a loving, nurturing environment. The teachers and staff strike the perfect balance between providing genuine care and creating an educationally stimulating classroom. We’ve been amazed at how much Ellie has learned while still having so much fun. The Montessori approach encourages curiosity, independence, and confidence, and we’ve watched her grow in all of those areas. One of our favorite aspects of Cloverdale Montessori is the emphasis on outdoor play and exploration. The children spend meaningful time outside, and it’s clear that movement, nature, and hands-on learning are valued just as much as academics. Communication with parents is also exceptional. We always know what’s happening in the classroom, receive timely updates, and feel like true partners in Ellie’s education. The staff is approachable, responsive, and genuinely invested in each child’s success and well-being. If you’re looking for a preschool that combines exceptional education with a warm, caring community, we wholeheartedly recommend Cloverdale Montessori. It has been an incredible experience for our family, and we are so grateful for everything they have done for Ellie.

  • Love Cloverdale Montessori School! When we moved to Boise, we didn't know anybody and had the difficult decision of which school to place our child. After looking around we decided to because of their commitment to the Montessori method and the community they embody. After about 2 years in their preschool, our child was well prepared for kindergarten. Going into kindergarten it was clear that our child was reviewing what most kindergartners are first learning. The social and educational support from CMS carried through the year and he is still in the top 90th percentile in both math and reading/writing. Owners Tim and Marie clearly have a love and passion for enriching the lives of the next generation. Shout out to Miss Vania and Miss Bridgid for their personal love and attention to our children. Miss Carrie is dedicated and always open to communication as the director. Of course its a team effort and the whole community has impressed us. When it came to putting our second child in a school, we didn't have to look around. The decision was easy and now they are thriving too!

  • When we started looking for a pre-school for our son in 2022, our friends suggested Cloverdale Montessori because of their positive experiences in the past. CMS was going to start under the new management that time, so we were little worried about the same quality and positive feedback we'll receive in the coming years, but the new Management surprised us with their updates and connection with the families. CMS teachers have long-term experience in their field and the main teachers Ms.Amy & Ms.Carry are working at CMS for many many years. Because of their small class size, each child get individual attention during their learning and needs. The teachers and management always keep in touch with our concerns and questions. Our son started reading and writing in full sentence before starting KG. He also learned science, math and many other life learning skills from CMS. CMS focus on making kids independent & giving the opportunity to explore more things. CMS also offer music & Spanish lessons in their curriculum. We are glad that our son got the opportunity to start learning Spanish at this young age. CMS celebrate all special days including Holidays & festivals. It is really fun for the kids and the families. CMS class rooms are clean, tidy and well organized with lots of educational & fun stuff. Their huge backyard is truly amazing with all the big trees, shades and play equipment. We never had any issues/complaints with CMS during our 3 years. We highly recommend Cloverdale Montessori for anyone who is looking for a special and fun learning experience for your little ones.

  • My son has been attending Cloverdale for about a year now and he loves it. I also really appreciate the constructive environment, kindness, and compassion, that the teachers display. Starting off the year with new owners had my wife and I a little apprehensive because we enrolled based on high recommendations regarding the previous owner, however the new owners are incredibly involved, informative, and dedicated to the school. I’m a big fan of the parent-involved activities that the staff host on a semi-regular basis. So happy to have a home for my child that I feel confident in preparing his mind for the future ahead of him!
