Funshine Home Away From Home

My daughter went to Funshine for four years and it was the absolute best! Kathy is an amazing and caring person. My daughter always loved going and still talks about her. The daylight apartment is used only for childcare and the backyard is fenced in and huge with so many fun toys. Finding Funshine was one of the best things to ever happen for my daughter and I.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have found Kathy’s daycare. Our daughters have been attending since they were four months old, and from the very beginning, it has felt like so much more than a place for childcare—it’s truly been a second home for our family. Kathy creates an environment that is warm, nurturing, and full of genuine care. It’s clear every single day how much she loves the children she looks after, treating them with the same attention and affection as if they were her own. That level of care is something you simply can’t put a price on. One of the most reassuring and telling signs for us is how excited our girls are to go each day—they literally run inside without hesitation. As parents, there is nothing more comforting than knowing your children feel safe, happy, and loved when they are away from you. We are deeply grateful for the role Kathy has played in helping raise our children during these early years. We truly couldn’t ask for a better experience and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. We love Funshine! Our daughter loved her time there. She still has a lasting relationship with Miss Kathy. As a parent, it’s hard to allow someone else tend your child, but at Funshine, I felt like my daughter was safe and extremely well cared for. The communication, security, and genuine love for our family was top notch. The home environment helped all the families who had children there feel like one larger family unit with family activities. The enrichment activities and Funshine’s philosophy helped shaped my child into who she is today. Thank you Funshine for providing peace of mind that my child was being cared for and loved.

Kathy was a godsend for us as she took our child that was having some behavior problems at other places and turned him around in a few short months. With the direct one-on-one attention, plus all the outdoor activities that let kids be kids, it was just what my child needed.

Our son has been here since he was just over a year old. Full time and part time since he has started school. He loves miss kathy!! And constantly talks about her and how awesome she is, even when being in school for months and not having contact with her. We hear her name daily in our home and the great things she has taught him! AMAZING Place and an AMAZING woman!
