KUC has been a great experience for my 6 year old, who has attended since she was an infant. My daughter has loved each of her teachers. They have a low staff turnover ratio, especially in the industry. Stephanie, Amber and the teachers are always doing things to make the experience more fun, including prolific decorating, field trips, dress up days, etc. They are great organizers and communicators. My daughter started kindergarten well-prepared both socially and academically. In reading the negative reviews, I wouldn't give a lot of weight to anything more than a few years old. When Stephanie took over a few years ago, she changed so many things for the better that the distant past probably isn't the best indicator of what your kid's experience would be today. Second, angry people usually post more reviews than happy ones. We've been thrilled for 6 years and there are many other parents whose kids have also attended for multiple years happily.
Tyler WaltersDec 26, 2022KUC is the best childcare facility! My 2.5 year old attends full time and my 4.5 year old used to attend full time (he is now in a Montessori pre-school). I love that when my 4.5 year old's pre-school is closed, but I still have work, KUC always has a space for him for a day here and there. My 2.5 year old daughter loves her teachers and regularly talks about them and her friends. I also love that they have a Spanish class option once a week. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. I regularly recommend the KUC facility to anyone with childcare needs. I honestly feel that my children are safe, well taken care-of, and in a learning environment at KUC.
AshleyJan 25, 2021Excellent staff! Our children love this place! We went through several child care facilities before finding Kids Under Construction, and we would never use anyone else! Our children are well taken care of and they particularly love the Art and Spanish classes. A+++ highly recommended.
Jared CalkinsJan 21, 2021My 4 year old has been to 4 daycares in his short life. We have had the best experience at Kids Under Construction. Steph has always been very helpful, kind, and quick to respond to my questions or needs. The entire staff have shown me and my son nothing but kindness. I feel so comforted knowing when I leave him each day he is in loving hands and safe. His teacher, Miss Alice is adoreable! She is so good with the kids and my son comes home every day excited to show me or tell me what he has been doing all day. The facility is clean. I appreciate the locks on the door and the security system. They make payment super easy and convenient with a card swipe machine at check in. My little guy is starting Kindergarten so he will be leaving but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kids Under Construction to anyone!
Rachel CooksAug 8, 2018Parents beware. Kids Under Construction Daycare allowed my son to get sunburned because we had not brought any sunscreen to the school yet for them to use. The staff put sunscreen on all kids that had sunscreen AND/OR who had filled out the paper giving the staff permission to apply sunscreen. They allowed my son to get sunburned to prove a point to us as his parents and that is barbaric and wrong. 1st - I had no idea there was a form to sign... I wasn't told... if I was told... I would have signed it. Instead, the teacher put a cute little piece of tape on his back that said " I need sunscreen" with a smile face. His ears were burnt pretty bad. When I confronted them about this issue they played the blame game and tried to spin the blame on me. The owner of the daycare called me after I posted on social that I wasn't happy NOT to apologies for the incident. NOPE . He begin to yell at me for defaming his business and threatening defamation in other media such as printed words or images, called libel. Libel and defamation lawsuits... hahah.. Bro... Libel and defamation lawsuits is for things that are NOT true. This story is as true as the sky is blue my friend. Pictures don't lie. I also have all phone conversations saved from the owner...so Kids Under Construction.... learn about libel and defamation. I will bury you with proof if you go that route. You have one job that I PAID for.... to take care of my children. You FAILED. You could have called me to see if my son could have sunscreen... You didn't do that.... You FAILED. When my son asked you if he could have sunscreen and you said NO..... YOU FAILED. I have filed a report with the state, and the Department of Health and Welfare. There was also only one door between the kids and getting out. Staff is rarely there in front and the security computer with the thumb print for kid sign in and out security was NEVER USED in the 5 months we went there. This place is a joke. Parents beware.
Eric TurnerJul 24, 2018I have had my youngest children at this facility for over three years now, and overall it's been a good experience (currently 20 months and 3). When I look at daycare's / preschools, I look for stable and happy teacher employment with low turnover. Although there have been some that have come and gone, overall the same core teachers are still with the facility. I like that they provide structure and from what I can tell, very little screen time (usually only when picking up/dropping off hours). We've been happy leaving our youngest children in their care.
