  • Initially, this daycare seemed promising, but I began to notice some serious issues over time. For one, the children were constantly watching television. Lisa claimed it was acceptable for them to watch TV as long as they were standing, but I disagree. I don’t want my child to be adversely affected by excessive screen time. Additionally, many of the staff were very young, often just high school students. The late fees were raised to $10 per minute, and the pick-up time was shortened from 6 PM to 5:30 PM with no reduction in price. I rarely observed the teachers engaging the kids in learning activities, and there appeared to be a lack of a structured curriculum. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this childcare facility.

  • As a parent needing childcare for the first time, looking through all the locally available options and weighing the benefits and drawbacks was anxiety-inducing. We were lucky enough to choose Lissa’s right off the bat, there have been no regrets and we plan on keeping our kids there until they’re grown enough to attend school. It’s heartwarming to see how much the teachers love and care for our children. It’s been the greatest experience so far as working parents, knowing our children are being watched over and taught by responsible and loving people and that we don’t have to worry about their wellbeing when we’re gone most of the day.

  • My son has gone here since he was 12 weeks old (now almost 4 years old). The staff are amazing and have always taken such great care of him. Now that he is in the preschool room he is learning to write his name and practice numbers, letters, and shapes. He has made great friends here. I have nothing but good things to say about Lissa’s!

  • This is the place! My granddaughter has been going here for 3 years now. Lissa is outstanding and so is her team! I drop off my granddaughter with no worries and that says a lot coming from me! Not only do I trust the care they provide but what my granddaughter has learned at the daycare is amazing. They do so much with those kids it's out of this world! Thank you for all that you do! You have made a safe place for children and I thank you guys.

  • I love Lissa's Learning Ladder! I couldn't ask for a better place to take my kids. I had so much anxiety looking for a place for my son and when I walked into Lissa's Learning Ladder I knew it was the place for us. Everyone is so kind and amazing with the kids. When I'm at work I don't have to worry about my son or daughter when she goes. I know they are being well taken care of. With my sons health issues I finally feel like I'm not crazy. They notice all the little things that a mom would. I have been able to start to get my son the help he needs because they are so vigilant. They go above and beyond!

  • I called and talked to Lissa, the owner, to inquire about having my youngest son (5 months) watched on an as needed basis when I was ready to go back to work. She said they were full Wednesdays but other than that, they could usually get him in and to call the week before I needed care just to put him on the schedule. Her center watched my son twice. The last two times I have called, there was one reason or another in which she couldn’t take my son (once they were “down a teacher” and the other time “they were full”). I get it. No problem. I called yesterday to see if she could take him for one day next week and Lissa told me that they recently had more babies come and their infant room was now full and they couldn’t take him ever. That seemed weird to me because just two months ago they were just full on the one day. The same day, I had a friend of mine call to see if they could watch her infant and she said yes except they were booked on Wednesdays. I cannot believe after giving her so much business over the course of my two older kids I was lied to. When her center watched my two older kids, I was an ideal client. I made on-time payments, never late for pick-up... I wonder what the truth behind Lissa denying my son care really was. He is 5 months old, so he isn’t old enough to be naughty. Lissa made the financial terms of the agreement so it couldn’t be money. Her infant room isn’t full, so that couldn’t be it. If he is a hard baby and they just couldn’t handle it, I can understand that, too. I appreciate honesty. I guess be careful who you trust to watch your kids because it’s on Lissas terms and at the drop of a hat, you can be dropped for no valid reason. It doesn’t bother me that I need to find alternate childcare, it bothers me that she lied to me.
