We can’t say enough wonderful things about Smart Start Preschool! Our family has had such an incredible experience here, and we will truly miss this special school once our kids age out. The teachers and staff are genuinely invested in every child and create such a warm, nurturing environment. The low student-to-teacher ratio makes a huge difference—our children have received so much individual attention and support, which has helped them thrive both academically and socially. Smart Start did an amazing job preparing our daughter for kindergarten, and we’ve seen the same positive impact with our son. It’s clear that they focus on building confidence, independence, and a love of learning—not just checking boxes. One thing that really sets Smart Start apart is how involved they are in the Harris Ranch and Boise community. They create meaningful experiences for the kids throughout the year and truly make families feel connected and welcomed. Their summer camps are also fantastic! They’re engaging, thoughtfully planned, and something our kids genuinely look forward to every year. We are so grateful for the love, care, and foundation Smart Start has given our children. If you’re looking for a preschool where your child will be known, encouraged, and exceptionally well prepared for kindergarten, I can’t recommend Smart Start highly enough.

I love the way they teach at Smart Start and all of the fun activities the kids do. Our daughter has really blossomed since starting school there. I highly recommend this school!!

We have always been exceedingly impressed with the level of care, guidance, and compassion that each staff member has shown. Definitely grateful for Smart Start for providing a top-notch first educational experience for our kiddos! :)
Local GuideJan 19, 2024My daughter has been going here for the past few months and really enjoys it. My daughter (age 3) needed to get out of the house a few times a week so I'm very happy that this preschool offers a part time (budget friendly, IMO) option. She not only loves the friends she is making but also loves learning all the songs and basics that they teach daily. I would recommend this preschool to a friend.

Over the last year and a half, we've observed this preschool to be a place of warmth and love, fun and playfulness, and a place where social skills and kids natural curiosity for learning is nurtured. Erin and her team are endlessly creative, focused and present with the kids, and always welcome my daughter with big hugs and smiles. She has absolutely loved coming here since her first day, and we feel very blessed to have found it!
Marylyn HunterJan 16, 2024The sweetest little preschool ever ! My daughter attended for two years so far and I plan to enroll my sons in the future. Caring and intentional teachers, a great ratio of teachers to kids and awesome space that is easy for parents to get involved which they are encouraged to do if that is something that’s desired. Very thankful for Ms. Erin, she is very gifted at what she does.
