I moved my younger child here after some concerns with a previous daycare. He loves it and is excelling more in his interest in writing, numbers and letters. I love that it's play based, however, so he isn't doing rote memorization or worksheets all day. He gets to pick his areas of interest and they nudge him to explore things he doesn't gravitate to. His language has excelled and so has his responsibility-kids clean up after themselves and eat communally. They go outside every day (unless the weather is extreme) multiple times a day to local parks within walking distance. He will also be trying piano lessons soon-an add in that's available. Communication wise regarding administration, the school is prompt, professional and supportive. Love it here!
kate swemFeb 24, 2026We love this school. Our child has attended from age 2 to nearly 5, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The teachers are loving, patient, and they foster creativity, independence, and positive social interactions. It’s a safe, nurturing place with lots of outdoor time and thoughtful practices like yoga and child-led activities that help children develop their personalities. Children are encouraged to take ownership—from preparing and cleaning up meals to choosing activities and caring for their space. The school fosters a strong sense of community. Teachers and administrators (owners) communicate clearly and professionally with families. Highly recommend Avondale Loving Care.

The teachers are kind, attentive, and truly invested in the kids' growth and well-being. One of the things we appreciate most is how much time the children spend outside, it’s clear the staff values fresh air, exploration, and play as part of the learning experience. We feel incredibly lucky to have found a place where our daughter is not only safe and cared for, but also happy, curious, and growing every day. Highly recommend!

It’s a play-based Montessori school that I'd highly recommend to any family looking for a thoughtful, child-centered environment. The directors and staff are amazing—so kind, caring, and always great at communicating with parents. One of the things we really love is how much time the kids get to spend outside everyday. We transitioned from a traditional daycare to ALC about 18 months ago and it’s been the best decision. Our daughter is thriving, happy, and has made so many great friends.

The communication between staff and parents/families was excellent. We felt we always knew what was going on with our child and the program as a whole. We enjoyed our time at Avondale Loving Care and are grateful for the leadership and staff that make it a great place each day.
Mark WoodsumJun 13, 2025ALC has been a wonderful school for our family!! We moved our daughter there after a subpar experience at another school, and it’s the best decision we’ve ever made for her. She’s so happy there, has become more independent, and has better social skills. The teachers and administrators genuinely care about the kids, and demonstrate an active interest in their development and well-being on a daily basis. We’re constantly amazed at the cleanliness of the school, and the communication from the teachers to the parents is fantastic. We couldn’t recommend ALC more highly!
