Recent parent reviews

  • We had our son enrolled at Busy Bees from 5 months old through age 3. I’m sharing this because I relied heavily on reviews when choosing childcare, and I think it’s important for parents to understand the full picture. To start, there are some genuinely great teachers here—Ms. Gisele, Ms. Rebeca, and Ms. Elda were caring and attentive. Our concerns are not with individual teachers, but with leadership, policies, and overall standards. The number of closures throughout the year is significant. Between summer break, winter break, and additional days off, the school is closed for several weeks annually. Tuition, however, remains in line with full-time childcare centers that operate year-round. For working parents, this creates a real gap in coverage that isn’t reflected in cost. Another major concern is “snack duty.” Families are asked, often with very little notice (end of day Friday for the following Monday), to provide items for the entire class. These lists can total close to $100 and have included non-essential items like flowers and candles. This is not something we’ve encountered at other centers, especially at this price point. The unenrollment policy is also extremely restrictive. A one-month tuition deposit is required, and the conditions to receive it back are narrow and tied to specific timing within the school year. Families should review this closely before enrolling, as it makes leaving the program difficult without financial loss. Communication is minimal. The app provides basic end-of-day updates (meals, naps, bathroom), but little to no insight into curriculum, structure, or developmental activities. For a center at this cost, I expected far more transparency into what my child was actually doing and learning each day. We also had ongoing concerns about the facility. The toddler bathroom setup is a training potty in a back room, and cleanliness was an issue. The bathroom used by older children is outside the classroom, which raises supervision and logistics concerns. It was also frequently used for storage. Outdoor toys appeared to be left out year-round without regular maintenance. The most important factor for us, however, was our child’s experience. When he transitioned to the 3s classroom, he became consistently distressed at drop-off—crying and refusing to go in for months. This did not improve over time. After transferring to a new school, he adjusted within days and is now happy and comfortable, which made it clear to us that the environment here was not the right fit. For the cost, we expected a higher level of professionalism, communication, and care. While this may work for some families, it did not meet our expectations, and I would encourage others to ask detailed questions about policies, closures, and classroom structure before enrolling.

  • We have had a great experience with Busy Bees! Our 22-month-old son has been with them since he was 14 weeks and he has THRIVED. He loves his teachers and classmates. They take great care of the children and I can tell they cherish each child in their care.

  • Our family absolutely loves Busy Bees! We have two children attending, and our son has been part of their community for over four years, giving us extensive experience. We can wholeheartedly say it's an exceptional place. The teachers here are truly remarkable. Their dedication, patience, and genuine love for each child are evident in everything they do. Knowing our children are loved and in such good hands when they're not with us means the world to us. We highly recommended Busy Bees Montessori School.

  • We have had both our kids at busy bees since 9 weeks of age. I could not be happier with the care they have given our children. The teachers are truly invested in the kids and their growth. They foster a sense of confidence, independence and respect and it’s incredible to watch their growth while there. It’s never easy leaving your kids in the hands of others all day, but Busy Bees has given me the utmost confidence that they are in good hands. I would highly recommend.

I love the Montessori approach and how it encourages independence and critical thinking. The school has an authetic Montessori approach. My daughter loved Busy Bees! I highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a nurturing and enriching environment for their child.
