  • Grandson has been with Catch A Star first as a baby in the little dippers , and came back again as 2 year old and is still there going on 5yrs old - we all love Catch A Star and staff and we feel at ease knowing he is with such good trusting caring people while we are at work

  • I have 2 kids in CAS and both are striving. I had one who hardly talked and he has been in there for 3 months now and he talks more. I get up to date notifications when they have been changed, fed, taking a nap, and on some occasions photos (wish i had more). The teachers are amazing the ones I have seen so far. The rooms are well structured for the age groups that they are. Yes there has been some biting incidents but these are children NOT adults. I do get notified when that happens and I have to sign electronically by the app that they use. CAS is trying to go more green so less paper trail and more computer trail. Overall CAS is a great day care plus its only 2-3 mins from the bus garage.

  • My son always is excited to go and is happy when I pick him up. He is improving on his social and language skill. Catch A Star is doing great work with the kids and would recommend their care to anyone looking!

  • We have been using catch a star since 2017 and have always had a positive experience. They have open communication and our children have been taken care of very well over the years.

  • Fails to properly document incidences and report to parents such as multiple bite marks on child. After challenging to correct this action they will adjust their daily log entry the following day instead of owning to it. After then requesting the provider to ensure my kids wellbeing and safety they will fail to do so as it’s not their policy to separate and teach appropriate behaviors. Your experience may vary, however going forward I will no longer send my son there nor will I recommend them when asked.

  • We love Catch a Star and have taken all of our children here. The ages are separated perfectly and we love that they have an in house day care. The facility is kept nice and updated and the staff is very friendly.

Is CATCH A STAR LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in Illinois?

Yes. CATCH A STAR LEARNING CENTER holds Illinois licence 216283, listed as "License issued (IL)" by the Department of Children and Family Services, licensed as a day care center in Mcdonough County. Confirm current standing at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov before enrolling.

What ages does CATCH A STAR LEARNING CENTER accept?

What languages are spoken at CATCH A STAR LEARNING CENTER?

The licence record lists English. That is what the provider reported to the state, not a guarantee that a speaker is on site at every hour.

Does this page show inspection results for CATCH A STAR LEARNING CENTER?

No. Illinois publishes monitoring and licensing reports going back to 2010 through Sunshine at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects CATCH A STAR LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the monitoring record.
