  • We have had 2 kids now at CFA and cannot sing their praises highly enough. The owner, director, and teachers are so warm and loving. Our son currently there has made amazing growth with speaking and other skills since beginning. We are so grateful to CFA!

  • My child has been at CFA since she was 4 months old and we absolutely love it. It's family owned and operated and has a unique, cozy and friendly feeling there that we didn't get from the other daycares we toured in the area. This was my first baby to go to daycare and I've never felt such peace of mind than I do when she's here. My child is still young but loves it and has the biggest smile anytime she sees her teachers. They are very thoughtful about taking the infants through creative developmental activities on a daily basis and we can follow along with photos and videos in a mobile app.

  • CFA has been an absolutely wonderful experience for our son and our family. Our son enrolled at 4.5 months and is now nearing 2 years old. He is a happy, engaged, social, and thriving toddler and so much of that is owed to his teachers and his day to day experience at CFA. The atmosphere is warm, collaborative, communicative, and fun! CFA has found the perfect balance of mixing play with nurturing new skills, learnings, and development. Our son is excited to go see his friends and teachers every day and I think that speaks volumes! If you're looking for daycare in the area, I highly recommend exploring CFA and all they have to offer!

  • We moved our daughter 2 months ago to CFA after spending 2 years at a different daycare and we have been so happy with our move! CFA is family run and you can feel the warmth and care that this team provides. We highly recommend this school and the programming that they offer.

  • I wanted to write a quick review to say thank you to the very nice teachers and staff at Child First Academy. My young son attended CFA and quickly showed improved communication skills and began taking better and longer naps along with several other signs of growth. Everyone at CFA worked hard to help our son feel comfortable and learn to be a little more independent than when he arrived. CFA always made sure to send adorable photos of my son playing, learning, eating, napping and doing all kinds of things. If you are looking for a school with nice people who care about children, CFA is a good place to go.

  • We have been so happy at CFA since our son started at 4 and a half months old! The staff is absolutely wonderful - they provide personalized care for each child, are very creative with all of the activities they do with the kids, provide photos and updates throughout the day and have done a great job managing COVID parameters, precautions and communication throughout the pandemic. We love that this is a small, family-run business and would highly recommend!

Questions parents ask about CHILD FIRST ACADEMY

Is CHILD FIRST ACADEMY a licensed child care provider in Illinois?

Yes. CHILD FIRST ACADEMY holds Illinois licence 592276, listed as "Pending renewal application (RN)" by the Department of Children and Family Services, licensed as a day care center in City Of Chicago County. Confirm current standing at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov before enrolling.

What ages does CHILD FIRST ACADEMY accept?

Illinois licenses CHILD FIRST ACADEMY for children 6 weeks to 5 years during the day, with a licensed day capacity of 68. The span is what the licence permits, not a statement of which ages have places free.

What languages are spoken at CHILD FIRST ACADEMY?

The licence record lists English. That is what the provider reported to the state, not a guarantee that a speaker is on site at every hour.

Does this page show inspection results for CHILD FIRST ACADEMY?

No. Illinois publishes monitoring and licensing reports going back to 2010 through Sunshine at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects CHILD FIRST ACADEMY's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the monitoring record.
