What Illinois licensed

Illinois licenses day care and overnight care separately, so CHILDREN'S WORLD is listed against each one it holds. Every figure is a ceiling the state set, not a count of places free.

Day care, ages
6 weeks to 12 years
Day care, licensed for
87 children
Night care, ages
6 weeks to 12 years
Night care, licensed for
87 children
Languages reported
English, Spanish

An overnight capacity means Illinois approved this provider for night care. It does not say which nights are actually offered, so confirm the hours directly.

  • My 1 year old got kicked out because I pay cash for childcare. They had to make room for governement funded childcare babies because "they get their money even if the child does not show up". So, if you are not on action for children, avoid this place at all costs. They will take your registration fees and boot you out a few months later for this. The administrator has refused to call me to discuss this as well, she hides and does not come out of the office. These practices make me question the entire integrity of the business. Money is the passion here, not children. I also wonder what happened that they had to rebrand from "Small world" to now "Children's world". This place is not worth the headaches and discriminatory practices.

  • We have had a great experience at this daycare. My son went from age 2.5-3 and my daughter has been going since 6 months old (now 19 months). The staff is consistent, so kind, and wonderful with my kids. They provide pictures periodically and send home activities they’ve done at daycare. My kids are happy to go each day and I can tell they are well cared for and happy.

  • My son went here from 16 months until 3 years and 3 months. He loved it. The teachers, caretakers, and staff are lovely. I got so many wonderful pictures of him and so many great art projects. They were amazing at teaching him his basics like body parts, ABCs, 123s, signs, and were great at reinforcing potty training with him. If I ever have another child I would without hesitation take my child here.

  • The children are well cared for. Staff still have a lot of consideration for the well being of the kids. And connect with them in a professional healthy manner. The staff really do try their best like good hearted humans. My daughter misses children world day care when she doesn't go. So shes always happy to go

  • Very clean facility with attentive teachers. Many of the staff speak more than one language (English, Spanish, and Chinese) so I feel confident in sending my kids there. Pick up is also very easy, they are very thorough in insuring kids go to only their assigned caretakers. My kids favorites offered snacks are the mandarins and pretzels. They are also doing a really great job of Sanitization, especially with scare of COVID-19. Finally no COVID cases from this daycare, my kids come back tired in a good way!

  • I took my 3 boys recently and a week later my 4 year old had a mark on his face. I asked what happened & he said his teacher smacked him in the face. I talked to the supervisor there & she said she didn't think so & that I should take my son to a daycare where they have cameras!! My 7 year old had a very bad experience with them as well. He was having some trouble with all this virtual schooling going on & right away the director said she couldn't be giving him that kind of attention (very unprofessional the way she said it to me) & would always mention how she thought he didn't do something right but never mentioned one thing on what he was actually doing good. She didn't give him a chance & definitely they all have zero patience for kids there (Warning this is for the 3575 S Archer Ave!) But the same supervisor works most of the time in this location. She also mentioned that my son was spoiled (she had zero respect for how she talked about my children to me). I honestly DO NOT reccomend this take care at all.

Questions parents ask about CHILDREN'S WORLD

Is CHILDREN'S WORLD a licensed child care provider in Illinois?

Yes. CHILDREN'S WORLD holds Illinois licence 447202, listed as "License issued (IL)" by the Department of Children and Family Services, licensed as a day care center in City Of Chicago County. Confirm current standing at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov before enrolling.

What ages does CHILDREN'S WORLD accept?

Illinois licenses CHILDREN'S WORLD for children 6 weeks to 12 years during the day, with a licensed day capacity of 87. The span is what the licence permits, not a statement of which ages have places free.

Does CHILDREN'S WORLD offer overnight child care?

Yes. Illinois licenses CHILDREN'S WORLD for 87 overnight children, ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Illinois licenses day and night care separately, so an overnight capacity means the state approved the provider for it. Confirm the hours actually offered with the provider.

What languages are spoken at CHILDREN'S WORLD?

The licence record lists English, Spanish. That is what the provider reported to the state, not a guarantee that a speaker is on site at every hour.

Does this page show inspection results for CHILDREN'S WORLD?

No. Illinois publishes monitoring and licensing reports going back to 2010 through Sunshine at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects CHILDREN'S WORLD's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the monitoring record.
