  • I recently made the difficult decision to pull my children from Cozy Castle after ongoing concerns about how my then-2-year-old was being treated. For a couple of weeks, I was told he was having bad days, not listening, and struggling with directions. His father and I took it seriously. We spoke with him at home, talked to him before daycare each morning, and asked to observe so we could understand what was happening and help. When we observed him on multiple days, he did not know we were there unless we came out of the office. We saw typical toddler behavior—having trouble sitting still, not wanting to nap, or getting up after finishing an activity. Could he improve in some areas? Of course. But we never saw anything extreme, unsafe, or serious enough to explain why we would get calls to pick him up after we left. We were also told he was improving, and another teacher said she had never seen the behavior being described. The birthday situation was the final straw. After talking with staff about what to bring and purchasing cupcakes, ice cream, plates, and spoons for his class, I was told on the morning of his birthday that he could not have cupcakes with his classmates because they did not want to “reward bad behavior.” We had talked all week about him celebrating with his class. He came in wearing his little birthday headband, excited to have cupcakes and sing “Happy Birthday” with his friends. When we had to leave and he asked why he could not have cupcakes with them, it broke my heart. This was not about cupcakes—it was about my child being excited for his birthday and then being excluded after we had been told his behavior was improving. I understand toddlers need structure and correction. I never expected my child to be perfect, but I did expect clear communication, consistency, and fairness. I no longer felt comfortable leaving my children there, so I chose to withdraw them.

  • I would like to share my experience with Cozy Castle Learning Center. My daughter started here as a 12 week old infant and I have chosen to withdraw her at 5 months old. The facility maintains a clean and organized environment, which is greatly appreciated as it provides a sense of safety and hygiene for the children. However, there are several areas that I believe could be improved to enhance the overall experience. One significant concern is the lack of timely communication. There have been instances where I received notice of early closures on the same day, such as being informed at 10 AM that the daycare would be closing at 3 PM. This short notice makes it extremely difficult to make alternative arrangements. I would appreciate clearer communication regarding closing for minor holidays as these days are not in the parent handbook and no sheet was given to us for us to be notified. I had to rely on a coworker that has grandchild at the same facility to send me a picture of a flyer she had because I had no clue that the daycare was closed for President’s Day. Additionally, questions submitted through the daycare app have gone unanswered for over a week on multiple occasions, including my 30 day withdraw notice. This is frustrating as clear and prompt communication is essential for parents and is expected on our part but not reciprocated. I had a specific event happen where a message was sent out through the daycare app at 11PM that the facility would be closing early due to weather the following day at 3PM.  Knowing the weather was going to be bad, I (and my husband) had checked the app multiple times that day and I never received the notification. As 3PM approached, the director was then calling my husband and I as well as our emergency contacts to come pick up my daughter. Her tone was cold and inpolite. This fluke in the communication app made me feel helpless that I wasn't there to pick up my baby. When I arrived at 3:08PM, my baby was with the staff members with the lights turned out. This made me feel even worse than I did before, like I was a neglectful parent. In times like this, I needed reassurance that there was a flaw in the system and I only received a coldness from the director. This tone has been consistent throughout my experience here and is ultimately why I chose to withdraw and find a new childcare facility. Another area of concern is the overall transactional atmosphere. While I have not had any direct negative encounters with the staff, in fact any time I talk with them they are polite. I do feel that the focus is more on the business aspect rather than creating a nurturing environment. It is also notable that I do not know most of the staff members' names, despite my efforts to inquire. I believe the director should do a better job in introducing staff members or even having a staff directory on her site or app. Knowing who is caring for my child is important, and it would be beneficial for the daycare to foster more personal connections between staff and parents. Lastly, during my tour and orientation, I was informed that I would receive photos of my child twice a week. Unfortunately, this has happened infrequently, which is disappointing as those updates are highly valued. Especially when my 12 week old baby is being dropped off to an unfamiliar place. I feel like better efforts could have been made to foster a relationship of trust. I believe that addressing these issues would greatly improve the overall experience for both parents and children. The director Ms Kesha comes off as for profit, transactional, and not a person who enjoys working with children which overall was unsettling. I even saved this feedback for over a year after withdrawing my child due to fears of her actions. Now that I am at a different facility… the world of difference is so noticeable.

  • My son has been attending since he was 3 months old and the staff has been amazing. The teachers are attentive and invested in the children’s development. The director has been understanding and willing to work with our schedule. I get updates on his day through the ProCare app including meals and pictures. It’s been a pleasure having my child attend Cozy Castle!

  • Owner of the daycare is an absolute tyrant. My children caught hand foot and mouth disease there also. Owner refuses to communicate with father's ( mom's only) I WOULD RECOMMEND SENDING YOUR KIDS TO A HOMELESS SHELTER BEFORE SENDING THEM HERE! THERE ARE FAR BETTER DAYCARES AVAILABLE!

  • We called in for information about infant care, speaking with Michelle. After saying they had an open spot, we asked for pricing. They said they would not discuss pricing on the phone and insisted we schedule a tour for next week. We explained we needed care ASAP and asked for a rough estimate, because we didn’t have time to wait and didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. They literally just hung up the phone on us. So rude and unprofessional. Glad we didn’t waste our time on a tour.

  • Absolutely horrible communication. They only let your child be there for a minimum for 9 hours. If your child is there more than 9 hours they charge you $15 for every hour additional (even if it’s only 30 minutes extra). I had “acts of children approved aid” but they charge $150 ON TOP OF THE CO PAY!! They’re closed for a whole 2 weeks for “winter break” which is extremely inconvenient for working parents. All over the websites, and paperwork they said Monday-Friday hours are 6-6 but Friday’s they close at 5:00. YOU CAN ONLY drop your kid off/pick up at your scheduled time (even though there hours of operations of 6-6) If you have to “change” your set schedule of pickup/drop off you have to tell them TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE!!! The owner Ms.Keesha has no care for the kids. All she cares about is getting a check and being greedy, and milking hard working parents for money by creating random “rules” !!! THAT NO OTHER DAY CARE DOES I had told her I needed to change “pick up/drop off time” to 5:30 Monday-Thursday Instead of saying “not a problem” she made me and my child feel like a inconvenience to her and the daycare because apparently all the kids happen to get picked up by 5:00 and he would be the only child there and was complaining she had to stay for LITERALLY ONLY 30 minutes, EVEN THOUGH THEY DONT CLOSE TILL 6!!!!!! She wasn’t even the person who gave me a tour, never introduced her self. When I finally seen her in the day care I asked if she was the owner all she said was “mhm” not introducing herself if anything. Always had an attitude. Wouldn’t hold the door for me and my child. Barely said a thing to us. Didn’t tell us till almost 10:00 AT NIGHT that the next day they would be closed due to snow. Horrible ownership ! Don’t go here !
