We attended this location for a few years. According to their policy, at the time of enrollment, you submit one month deposit to be used in the event you do not provide one month’s notice before leaving. In the event you do provide notice, you will receive a refund of this large deposit. We provided one month’s notice in accordance with their policy, and received confirmation we will receive a refund of the deposit, since we paid for our last month of attendance and provided one months notice. We have been unenrolled in Guidepost for 8 months. I have consistently contacted the head of school and the general corporate email for refunds since we dropped. Somehow, not only have they not provided a refund, they have just informed me that they do not have a status for my refund NOR a timeline to provide the refund. The administrative burden and financial cheating Guidepost has imposed on our family is a huge headache and ethical concern. I would not enroll my children here due to the lack of communication, financial cheating, and ethical concerns. Response to Guidepost: No, the leadership at the Downers Grove location did not continually update me nor respond to my inquiries timely or substantively. Several instances I needed to contact them to receive one response, which never contained an update. Additionally, they continue to fail to share the contact information of the regional director/their own leadership. They also failed to share an accounting of ANY payments we remitted to Guidepost during our time there despite multiple requests. I have begun including the inquiries email, though this has not yet led to any progress, answers, or resolutions. I have never received any response from this email.
EricaApr 14, 2026Our child attends Guidepost in their Nido (infant) program and it has been the best possible experience. The teachers and staff genuinely care so much about each baby and take an interest in every milestone. It’s such a good feeling knowing we are leaving our son with people who take such good care for him. He learns so much and has so much fun every day. He has even made friends! We are very grateful that our child care has been such a good experience and would highly recommend Guidepost DG to anyone.
Erin HillFeb 12, 2026After an unfortunately traumatic experience with another school in the area, my son was having extreme difficulty even stepping foot in another school. We looked at many other options and none of them were prepared to support him through the emotional transition of going to another new school. He is also more advanced for his age group and we were looking for a place that was able to give him challenges that would allow him to grow, be engaged, and thrive. I was extremely worried that we wouldn't be able to find a good fit. All of that worry was immediately relieved when I toured Guidepost DG with Amy & Sarah. Their calm, patience and understanding of my son's experience allowed him to quickly feel safe again and his first day at school went phenomenally! He has had no issues adjusting and loves being challenged and doing the work. I am forever grateful to his guides and Amy and Sarah for providing a safe space for our family to thrive. They clearly have a love for children and significant child development knowledge and expertise that sets them apart from every other school we toured. I truly could not recommend the school more highly!
Dallis LunaDec 12, 2025We've sent all four of our kids to this Guidepost. They spent time in every stage classroom (nido, young toddler, toddler, and children's house). The team here is stellar and cares deeply for the children in their care. Because of them, our kids have developed an early love for learning and a sense of independence, and we're excited to continue nurturing that as they grow. Highly recommend the Guidepost team for anyone in the DG area. 💪💪
Laura MaykaDec 11, 2025I couldn't be more pleased with the school! I'm truly grateful for the exceptional teachers. My daughter has been attending for six months, and since her second week, she has been excited to go to school every day.
Nurjan TopalAug 15, 2025I'm in love with this school!! My child started in August, in the 2yr old toddler room with Ms Angelique & we immediately started seeing a difference in her attitude as well as independence. She was so eager to help and show us that she can do hard things! My daughter recently turned 3 and transitioned to their children's house which is mixed ages with a very tenured Montessori Teacher and she's so excited to tell me about her day, everyday. Julie and Sarah, the head of house and assistant are extremely warm, welcoming and don't hesitate to answer my thousands of questions. Guidepost also has extracurricular activities within school hours like soccer and Kidokinetics which has been such a blessing to get out her energy. I'm so happy we were able to get into this location. A++++
