We attended a Magna-Tiles event at Guidepost Montessori Lincoln Park and left confused. The event started late. The staff did not seem prepared. There was no clear plan. We had no real interaction with the Magna-Tiles representative. The materials were limited. We have more tiles at home than what was available for the group. There was no structure. No guidance. No effort to engage the kids or the parents. We left after 15 minutes because it felt like nothing was happening. If this was meant to introduce families to the school, it failed. It had the opposite effect on us. I would not recommend based on this experience.
Mike WMar 30, 2026I want to preface that I do not have kids nor did I use the services at this location. However, I live down the street and walk past this facility often. Yesterday, September 29th they had the kids blocked off and playing outside. Based on my friends kids id say they were 2-3years old in this group. I was coming home from getting groceries and a kid was just walking on the sidewalk by the street of Clark and Belden. Bleached blonde/white hair boy around 2-3years of age and was wearing a blue shirt. I literally had to tell the ladies working he was roaming the sidewalk. They were kinda rude about missing a kid and did not say thank you. A warning to parents who send their kids here, doesn’t seem like the individuals (all women) working around 3pm were interested in watching their kids and more interested in chatting! This is not the first time I have seen this or had to notify the ladies that child in their group is missing. They walk past my building all the time. My friends who had kids said I should post this because they would want to know.
Morgan GradySep 30, 2025We had an incredible experience with Guidepost Montessori at Lincoln Park. Working with the administration was truly a pleasure—they were professional, warm, and responsive every step of the way. The facility itself is absolutely exceptional: clean, thoughtfully designed, and welcoming. What stood out most was how well cared for and engaged the children were. It was inspiring to see how much they were learning in such a nurturing environment. We’ve spent a lot of time visiting different programs, and this one is certainly among the very best. Highly recommend! -Lil Angels Photography Chicago
Jackie KardeshMay 8, 2025We are glad to be part Guidepost LP family! The staff is friendly, lovely and very caring. The class rooms and gross motor rooms are spacious and filled with things that cater to the child’s curiosity and development. My daughter has been going there since over 2 years and all the guides she has had have been wonderful. The three things that really helped us make the decision to go with GPLP was the staff, the space and the schedule of the working days. Could not have been happier with the school we chose for our daughter! ❤️
preethi pFeb 2, 2024We have been a part of the Guidepost Montessori at Lincoln Park community for 2 years now. Our son has gone through most of the classrooms from infants all the way to Toddlers. I could not imagine a better place. He has grown so much during this time, and its incredible to see the teachers and staff support his interests and get him excited about learning by exploring the outdoors and introducing new skills like music, cooking, and custom language lessons. Not only do the teachers and staff provide exceptional care, they instill independence, confidence, and kindness in their classrooms while creating a really warm and inviting environment for kids and parents alike. As a parent, I know my child is in good hands, with consistent updates about their day via photos and communications from the teachers. More than anything, Guidepost does a great job creating a safe and loving community. We couldn't be happier with our choice!
Naomi YarinDec 5, 2023Our two children are truly cared for by the staff; they feel like family! Our son has been at Guidepost Montessori at Lincoln Park since he was three months old and our daughter since she was four months old. The kids are now almost two and one years old! The facilities are clean with lots of natural light. The guides (teachers) are so kind, caring, & knowledgeable. We feel so fortunate to have our kids in safe and considerate environment. The interactive activities are never ending (walks outside, trips to the zoo & farm, conservatory, and local parks, themed week celebrations and after-school family gatherings). I couldn't ask for a better school.
