  • Our littlest little one began his tenure at Kemit at just four months old during the height of the pandemic. We were nervous as the world moved through such uncertainty around COVID, but we were quickly assured that he would be in good hands. In addition to scheduled learning/lessons, Kemit schedules field trips, holiday celebrations, offers French class, speech therapy, an outside playground onsite, and an app to track all of your kiddo's activities for the day (e.g., breakfast, lunch, snacks, bathroom breaks, sign in/sign out, etc.) We're forever grateful for their care and dedication.

  • After a long search, I finally decided to enroll my daughter here, and it’s been the best decision. Previously, my daughter went to home daycares where she wasn’t engaged or taught anything, leaving me feeling like I was raising her on my own. Since joining Kemit Academy, my little one has blossomed—she’s talking more, gaining confidence, and never wants to leave when I come to pick her up! What really sets Kemit Academy apart is the staff and their attention to detail. They use an app that keeps me updated throughout the day, letting me know when she naps, eats, uses the potty, and what activities she’s doing. This level of communication was something I never got from other daycares and puts my mind at ease as a single parent. I don’t care what anyone says—my child and I are so much happier now. Kiely, Ebonie, and the rest of the staff have truly been a blessing in our lives.

  • We love Kemit Academy! Our kids have been there for two months. They’re constantly engaged in fun and educational activities. Communication is great from both teachers and the director. Most importantly, all the teachers are warm, friendly, and passionate about the kids.

  • When I enrolled my son at Kemit, it was like finally finding the village we needed. I have always respected their thoughtful structure and routine-setting that has allowed my son to grasp the idea of boundaries and safe play. They have always communicated frequently, directly, and swiftly; their warm embrace and cheer is unparalleled. I was surprised to learn they even offer French, which my son now loves to practice. There are many strengths to Kemit, but chief among them are: 1.) their therapeutic support, which has allowed my son to continue in his DT, OT, and SPT therapeutic regimens on-site and uninterrupted (there’s a special classroom for those sessions, so my son never has to be pulled from daycare for this); and 2.) safety, as they have always done whatever it takes to make sure my son is safe, healthy, and cared for. To say they go above and beyond to make sure everyone’s safe and sound is an understatement. As soon as we turn the corner and he recognizes we are heading to Kemit, my son’s face always lights up. He almost always runs in, saying “Yay! School!” Not “daycare,” but school, because he understands this to be his place of learning and growth. For this and many other reasons, Kemit has my highest possible recommendation.

  • Positives: -Very nice facility in a great location -Really liked most of the teachers -My children learned a lot and thrived while they were there Negatives: -Lack of transparency -Very high staff turnover (and no notification to parents when staff left...we just had to figure it out) -90 day notice policy (standard at most daycares is 30 days) -Kids must arrive by 9AM. If coming after 9 then you must give prior notice and get the okay or else your child is not permitted to daycare for the day -No in and out. This can make it very inconvenient if you need to pull them out shortly for a medical appt or any other reason -Kids must arrive before 8 in order to get breakfast -Director not receptive to feedback/concerns whatsoever Me and my spouse were super excited about Kemit but due to the above it did not work out for us and we ultimately made the decision to pull our children out. The final straw was when breakfast time kept getting pushed back earlier and earlier to the point that it became clear to us that they were finding excuses to just not feed our children. During the tour we were told that they prioritized feeding the children healthful meals and hot breakfasts. On multiple occasions we saw off-brand, sugary cereal on the breakfast carts....things we would never feed our children at home. Being at the daycare where we are now really highlights the shortcomings at Kemit and shows us how daycare should operate (open communication, open door policy, nutritious meals). I'd recommend any parents considering Kemit definitely do their research and talk to other parents first before making a decision.

  • In August, 2022 I had a baby girl. Being a new parent I was terrified to leave my child with anyone except her dad or our parents. I wasn't able to stay home full time so I soon realized that I had to come to grips with putting my daughter in daycare. After a long search I found Kemit. The moment I walked in I felt really good vibes. The staff was very friendly and the owner is knowledgable and sooooo friendly! I felt right at home with her tremendous support and loving care. Placing my daughter here has been the best thing I could have done. She has been learning and when I drop her off she is eager to get started with her day. When I pick her up she wants to stay longer. Kemit Academy is a gem and I am very happy to have my daughter grow and learn with my new extended family.
