While this institution does provide great care, resources, and education to our little ones, their staff is dismissive, mean, and downright rude. I have been trying for a month to get pictures of my five year old sent to me, and Nikki, the director, refused to respond to an email or return a telephone call. When I finally got her on the phone and asked again she lied and yelled at me. Just disappointed in their overall treatment of a caring father.
Jake SmithMay 29, 2026I really like the educational activities and the way the teachers work with the children. I have 3 year-old twins, and I can see that they are learning new things every day, especially communication, independence, and social skills. I also really appreciate the updates about their daily activities, especially the fact that everything is shared clearly through the app. It makes me feel calm and connected to what they are doing during the day. Ms. Bri and Victoria are absolutely wonderful with my kids
Nadica KimovaMar 25, 2026Extremely Disappointed and Concerned with How the School Handles Situations I am writing this review with great frustration and disappointment. Our daughter has been attending this school for almost three years, and our son for over a year. We have always respected school policies and have never caused any issues. A few days ago, my son had a fever. We followed the school’s 24-hour no-medication policy exactly as required. This morning, I dropped him off and informed his teacher that he had just recovered, might be a bit emotional, and that his last dose of medication was more than 24 hours ago. I also asked that he not play outside later in the day. About half an hour later, I received a call from the school asking me to pick him up because they claimed we had not followed the 24-hour policy. They even confused which child they were referring to. I went to the school to clarify that his last medication was indeed more than 24 hours earlier, but Nikki refused to listen or verify the facts. I requested to speak directly with the teacher to clear up any misunderstanding, yet Nikki denied my request and insisted I either take my child home or get a doctor’s note. It is unreasonable to expect parents to spend money on a doctor’s visit just to correct an internal communication mistake. A two-year-old being fussy after an illness is normal — that should not be treated as a medical issue. When I picked up my son, he was happily playing indoors, not upset or sick as they described. His teacher claimed to have checked his temperature every hour and that it was “rising,” but he had only been at school for about an hour. When I asked to check his temperature on the spot, I was refused and told to take his belongings and leave immediately. When we returned home, his temperature was 98.5°F, completely normal. We pay nearly $4,000 a month in tuition for our two children, yet we were denied the basic right to have the situation properly reviewed. Over the past three years, even when our daughter was injured at school and required stitches, or when she was repeatedly pushed and bitten by the same child, we never blamed the school or caused trouble. We’ve always tried to be understanding. However, this experience was truly disappointing. The staff made a decision based on incorrect information, refused to communicate or verify facts, and placed the burden on us to prove them wrong. Parents deserve fairness, communication, and professionalism — none of which we received today.
Bocheng SunOct 29, 2025We’ve had a wonderful experience over the last few months here. The staff is super friendly and they utilize technology such as their app to communicate the curriculum goals and send photos during the day. Our daughter loves how caring and comforting the staff is. We especially love all of the extras like spirit week where they do fun pajama day and things such as a book fair and other activities that just make it super special.
Valerie BurianOct 30, 2024I have both of my children enrolled at Kiddie Academy of Darien and have been thrilled with the care that they receive there. All of the teachers have been wonderful with working with my children on age appropriate skills and I enjoy the curriculum they use. The front desk staff is amazing, especially when we are having a rough time with morning drop off. I love the updates I receive during the day along with the pictures. I am so thankful that I found Kiddie Academy to help my children grow!
Heather StefanskiApr 27, 2022We first enrolled our 2 kids in Kiddie Academy of Darien in Spring 2017. One has gone on to grade school and the other is about to enter Kindergarten. Both kids are/were well prepared for Kindergarten, they were always very well cared for and the staff has always been very attentive. While 2020 did bring about some changes in management and policies (pandemic-related), the new Director has been proactive about sending out updates and information to parents, including surveys requesting feedback on how they can improve. We have been very happy with Kiddie Academy and our kids have loved it there!
