Poor management. After reading reviews I should have known better than to send my child here.
Lacy StoneMay 10, 2023Our time at kiddie Kampus is Sadly coming to an end. We have spent 8 years here with our 2 children and experienced nothing but the best. Despite multiple staff changes they were always replaced with quality caring people. Thanks Stephanie and Margaret we will sure miss being there!
Vanessa BianchettaJun 7, 2019I really like how the rooms are spacious. The children are not crowded in small room like other daycare. The playground is also big too. Most importantly , I like how the teachers interact with my 2 year old. They took the time to throw my son a birthday party. He loved it. :) We love this place.
Gabriella KerrAug 21, 2018In the last week my 3 year old grandson was sent home twice with dried poop on him. The food is processed and unhealthy according to DHS standards. I have been in this profession for 20+ years and it is scary to see the violations. The "teachers" in the older kids rooms are frequently leaving children unattended while they socialize in other rooms. There are ratio requirements and those arent being met when this happens. The owners Margaret and stephanie will tell you this doesn't happen but they arent there at the daycare to know this. Even the staff will admit it.
Helen PucelNov 10, 2015My son has been going to Kiddie Kampus for over 5 years. The staff has always been amazing and my son loves it there. I am confident that he is well taken care of and have never had an issue, nor have I ever had a thought of going elsewhere. There is a daycare closer to my home, but I choose to back track everyday to my job because I trust the staff with my child, and that is what is important to me.
Kris SuykoJan 6, 2015Pulling our child out of this daycare was the best decision we ever made. Parents, if you feel like something just isn't right, then it probably isn't. They kept our son in the "two's room" despite the fact that he was 3.5. They claimed that there was no room in the preschool room and used the fact that our son was not yet potty trained as an excuse also. I found it odd that our son was almost fully potty trained at home but he CONSISTENTLY came home from daycare in pull-ups (sometimes not even his) when I had sent him to school in underpants. During his last week there he came home with BM dried all over his bottom and the beginnings of a diaper rash. The daycare teacher must have seen that when she changed him out of his underpants and into the pull-up (that happened to be a girls pull-up and two sizes to small) but chose to ignore it. Conversely, he was completely accident free after four days at his new preschool. We haven't had to buy a diaper since leaving Kiddie Kampus. They also started trying to convince us that our child was having behavior issues - yelling at teachers, throwing things, being rough with the other kids, etc. They repeatedly tried to push us into seeing a therapist for "sensory issues" and insisted on keeping a journal on our child's "behaviors". We had him assessed by the Early Intervention program through the school district and found no problems. This was not good enough for Kiddie Kampus. Our pediatrician also found no issues, stating that he is just being a normal 3yo. Still, they kept asking us what our next step would be. In the meantime, there was still no room in the preschool class and our son was obviously unhappy having to stay in a class that was not age appropriate for him. Our next step was to have him professionally evaluated for ADD/ADHD. This test also showed that he had no issues. Our last straw was when he came home with the dried BM on his bottom. At this point we decided that the obvious answer was that the problem was not with our child but with Kiddie Kampus. They advertise themselves as a "learning center" but there is not much of a curriculum. It's all very loose and unprofessional without much structure. We pulled him out immediately and found a new daycare where he is thriving. He is in a classroom with an amazing curriculum and children his own age and there has not been one report of a "behavior" since leaving Kiddie Kampus. We are super disappointed with our experience at Kiddie Kampus. Their customer service is so poor that there wasn't even a follow-up call from the director to see why we suddenly pulled our child out. If it was my business, I would have definitely called the customer to find out what had gone wrong and why they were so dissatisfied.
