Chronically understaffed. If your kid struggles with nap time they do not have the resources to address the situation and will send your child home.

LadyladieladeeMar 1, 2026I cannot even begin to describe how horrible the management is. I truly believe them to be evil people. I've seen them bully parents and children into leaving because kids were deemed "too difficult" to work with. On multiple occasions I was told "we don't have the resources to properly assist your child." What resources?! Staff?! This is a DAYCARE. My child has no LD, delays or behavior issues, so what you just can't function? I sent my daughter there for 2 years and I wish I never stepped foot into this place. She started daycare at 2 and admittedly had a hard time adjusting. We took her to all the therapies and got her all the services she qualified for before she turned 3. After transitioning to a 3 year old class we heard nothing but praise for how well she was doing in the big kid room. She potty trained quickly, made lots of friends, and even enjoyed her teachers. It was the first time she didn't beg us to keep her home and she actually looked forward to going to daycare in the morning. She had a decent 3 month run until her her teacher left and a new one came in. Once the new teacher started they began sending my child home multiple times a week for not listening or hitting or being "naughty" during nap time. We made suggestions, advised she really doesn't nap anymore and asked about nap alternatives to make the day easier? ANYTHING but sending her home for having a high energy level. I want to note we were also VERY agreeable and wantes to work with Lakeshore to make the days easier. We were told ALL kids are expected to nap until 5 years old or sit quietly in their cots for one hour. What 3 year old can do that?! Then when we asked to be moved to another room or inquired about what they're doing to HELP our child during the day we were completely ghosted and ignored. This place gave me intense panic attacks. I couldn't even send my daughter most days because I was so nervous they'd treat her poorly or find another bogus reason to send her home. I could tell at pick ups that her teachers didn't even like seeing her, but I had no idea why. No one told me what was going on or even offered advice as to why the sudden change. For the record, I did have my child evaluated by her pediatrician, a social worker and and educator and they all found NO signs of concern with her behavior, no delays, and noted that she's very chatty and plays very well with other kids, big and small. All of Lakeshore's complaints were completely unfounded. Finally, we decided to pull my daughter out when they made up an absolutely HORRIBLE story about my child. They called us and told us that my child tried to choke another student and she needed to go home. When we picked her up we demanded to see the footage of the incident. They claimed it happened "off camera." For the record this is a daycare and this incident happened in the GYM, there should be no blindspots. So they refused to show us the footage. My children stated MULTIPLE times that she was giving her friend a hug, and Lakeshore even admitted that she wasn't acting out in any way leading up to the incident. We decided to pull her out immediately because clearly her new teacher has issues with her. If she can't see a child giving a hug as something INNOCENT and not malicious then she shouldn't be a teacher at a daycare. I have talked to MULTIPLE families who have also had traumatizing experiences here as well as several former staff members who left due to gross mistreatment. I cannot IMAGINE having such little patience and such distaste for children and running a DAYCARE. I swear Miss Trunchbull is running this place
