Lakefront Academy and the teaching staff have been absolutely phenomenal. We are so appreciative to have been part of this community. As a former educator, I am deeply thankful for the amazing support they provided for my son over his two years at the daycare. During this time, he was able to develop strong literacy and math skills along with the socio-emotional growth that built his confidence and led to his acceptance into a Gifted Center for Kindergarten. I have tremendous respect for this team and cannot recommend them highly enough. I would be happy to speak with anyone who has questions about our experience.
Jordan WolffSep 20, 2025Our daughter has been attending Lakefront Childrens Academy for two years, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care and expertise of the team. The teachers (many of whom have been there for several years) made her transition to daycare smooth and welcoming, and we’ve now found a wonderful sense of community in the neighborhood. The school introduces children to numbers, letters, and a variety of engaging topics, and takes them on fun field trips (zoo, field museum, shed, etc) around the city. We strongly recommend LCA to families in the area!
Mariam MafeeJul 16, 2025Lakefront Children's Academy is an amazing early education child care academy. The school is super cute and mentally stimulating. The academic programming is well structured and helped get my children off on the right start of their long education career. The owner has been directing childcare facilities for over 40 years. Lakefront Children's Academy has been serving the east loop Chicago area since 2000. We appreciated the structured programming and the special enrichment opportunities like private piano lessons. My sons, like many other students, tested into the selective schools where they were very prepared. Small intimate class sizes. Thank you Ms Cheryl for a great early childhood experience for my boys!

My Italian daughter attended the LCA summer camp for 3 weeks. Mrs Rogers and her team took care of her in the best way, and helped her to improve her English. Now we're back to Italy and she stills speaks English at home and talks about the great time she had at school. I was also impressed by the activities they did, artcrafts, daily visits to the Millennium park and much more. Had we stayed longer, I would have signed her up for the piano lessons, which looked amazing. Thank you LCA for taking care of Margot as part of your family! We hope to visit again soon
Francesca CanaliAug 10, 2023Lakefront Children’s Academy is a great school. Since my son went to this school, he has been gradually taught with good habits, manners and behaviors. His language and social skill have also been significantly improved. The school has various daily schedules and activities combined with well-designed education and entertainment. My son has a good time there and is always willing to go to school. Moreover, Lakefront Children’s Academy pays special attention to COVID precaution with a series of measures. They truly care about children’ health. Special thanks to Mrs. Rogers and all the teachers for their kindness and patience for the kids! I’d like to recommend this great preschool located in the downtown new east side community to the parents who is in need!
Sylvia GaoSep 22, 2022My daughter started at LCA about a year ago and she absolutely loves the teachers/staffs, curriculum, activities, and even food and snacks! LCA really focuses on developing kids’ learning skills while fostering their curiosities. She makes a lot of friends at LCA and constantly surprises us with new things she learned at school. I highly recommend this school for anyone in the neighborhood with young children.
