  • I never write reviews but my experience with Little Folks Cottage was so outstanding, it needed a spotlight. Mrs Jackson and her team are very thoughtful and kind. You really can see that the kids are always top priority here! I will be recommending them to anyone who needs their services. Amazing job guys!

  • I used to go here as a kid. Hated it. One of the teachers called us “dunce”. We all know that means you’re calling me “slow.” I didn’t know what that meant baxk then since I was a kid, but I did tell my mother. That turned into a conversation with the director, Ms. Jackson. Unsure if she’s still there now. I also remember a teacher by the name of Ms.Coleman. Unsure if she’s still there, probably not. But she was so mean. She used to chew ice and if you’d look at her...she’d say “why you all in my mouth?” I remember ALL of that and told myself I’d never send my children there no matter what.

  • Little Folks Cottage is a toxic place to work and certain elderly staff members undermine Teachers in front of students and treat the Teachers inadequately. The Directors don't do anything about the person's behavior when you address it because the person have been helping them with the center financially, etc. The Director would suggest that you'd leave if you didn't like working there instead of addressing the nitpicking issue with the person. The Directors just backbite and act judgmental toward Teachers. Not to mention, having an extremely nervous energy. Special needs children with behavior difficulties have been kicked out which is against the law now! In addition, the Director got into a shouting match with the father in front of the children and the police was about to be called. The other Director also didn't want the Teachers to help other Teachers with the state mandated questions. She'd tell you to direct them to her because you may give the wrong information away but she'd never be around to help with the trainings. Always coming in excessively late. When there was a shooting last year, no Directors were onsite all day. Teachers had to throw students on the ground in the classroom and try to comfort them with no proper plans or protocols in place for gunfire in the community. Knowing that the daycare is in a high crime area, there should be proper plans in place. I think you should put your child in a much better daycare. And yes, they do man-handle children there.
