Our family could not be happier with our choice to send our children to Little Fox. We originally chose this daycare not only for the instant connection we felt but also because of the walking distance to our home. Since starting at Little Fox, we have had another child and moved 30 minutes away. With our second child we had every intention of finding a daycare closer to our new home. However, we were so happy at Little Fox we could not imagine sending our second child anywhere else. We knew nowhere else would compare. Every single teacher has shown care, attention, and most importantly an outpouring of love to both of our children and we could not be more grateful for everything they have done for our family. Look no further for care than Little Fox!
Kathleen MeadeDec 17, 2025We had a wonderful experience with our child attending LFDS. The staff is so kind, organized, and nurturing. You can definitely tell the difference between this locally owned and operated school and the big chains. So much more personal and family-oriented. Our child absolutely loved attending, and we felt very at home there. We left due to moving, but would have absolutely kept our child enrolled until kindergarten otherwise! We love Little Fox!
Hannah McNamaraNov 4, 2025Our son started as an infant at Little Fox and stayed there just over two years. We had a wonderful experience! All of the teachers we encountered were so loving. We sadly had to leave due to a move. Leaving Little Fox was by far the worst part of our move. We miss it immensely!
Annie TracyNov 4, 2025Our Son spent a year at Little Fox and it was a fantastic decision. The teachers are all wonderful and responsive. They were very flexible with our part time schedule. Unfortunately we are moving to the suburbs otherwise we would’ve loved to keep our son at Little Fox. We are going to miss this place dearly!
Tyler McNamaraNov 1, 2025We had a great experience with Little Fox. Our son, Theo, loved it so much that he was usually not done and ready to go home when we arrived in the afternoons. He felt very loved there, and he entered kindergarten reading very well and excelled in his studies after Little Fox, thanks to the care and attention to the fundamentals. Highly recommend Little Fox Day School!
Julie SondgerathOct 26, 2025Response from Little Fox Day School: We are truly sorry to hear that a family’s experience did not align with their expectations. Little Fox Day School values every child and family, and we take all feedback seriously. The twins joined our program in April 2024 and began in the Rainbow Room, where they thrived under the care of our dedicated teachers. While the children were happy and engaged, communication with the family sometimes became challenging, which at times affected the open collaboration we work hard to maintain with all families. In January 2025, the children transitioned to the next classroom. The communication, while well-intentioned, became tense, making collaboration more difficult moving forward. In May 2025, a concern was raised about a teacher’s message suggesting more comfortable clothing during potty training. After reviewing the exchange, the teacher’s message appeared courteous and developmentally appropriate. Even so, the director promptly invited a meeting to discuss the matter, and the administration reached out personally to ensure the family’s perspective was heard. That conversation was positive, and mutual understanding appeared to have been reached. A few weeks later, the family contacted the school to share intent to enroll a third child (infant), which was viewed as a sign of confidence in our program. In July, another concern arose regarding the use of pull-ups. The teacher explained that this was consistent with our potty-training policy. The diaper matter was mentioned as the primary reason for withdrawal; however, it was part of a broader pattern of communication difficulties over several months. At Little Fox Day School, open communication and mutual respect between families and staff are among our highest priorities. Teachers’ recommendations — whether related to food, clothing, or comfort — are always guided by child-development best practices and a desire to help each child thrive. The teacher referenced in the review has been part of our school community for over 30 years and is well known for her professionalism, compassion, and dedication to her students. It is unfortunate that her intentions were misunderstood, as her only goal was to support the children’s comfort and growth. All correspondence between this family and our staff has been carefully documented and reflects our consistent efforts to communicate clearly, respectfully, and in good faith. The children were well-loved, engaged, and happy during their time with us. While Little Fox Day School rarely responds publicly to reviews — preferring to let the positive experiences of our many families speak for themselves — we felt it important to share this clarification in the interest of fairness and transparency. We remain proud of our teachers and staff, who work tirelessly each day to provide a nurturing, safe, and developmentally enriching environment where every child can thrive.
