  • We’re so lucky to have found LTL! The team works hard to ensure the kids are engaged and happy, while teaching Spanish and French all day. Our son has grown tremendously while at LTL, from independence to multilingual verbal skills. Thank you to everyone at LTL for the love you give our children!

  • I toured the facility a few months ago. I loved the location but the director wasn’t very personable. Ultimately I decided to pass on it.

  • We have two kids studying here. The staff is super loving and both of our kids have picked up quite a bit of Spanish and French. I also love the diversity among the teachers, students, and staff — a rare find. The parents are lovely and the vibe is very welcoming.

  • Bottom line: We ADORE this daycare/preschool. We started sending our son when he was around 17-18 months, and he has absolutely thrived under the care of Sandra, Adriana, and his teachers. LTL offers dual language (Spanish and French) immersion instruction and care, and it's amazing to see how quickly the kids adapt and learn new languages and skills. They are Montossori-inspired, but lean more academic based. The teachers create a curriculum weekly. What really impresses me is their philosophy that kids are extremely capable and oftentimes it's adults that underestimate them. For example, LTL reached out to us when our son was around 20-21 months old to start potty training. Everyone we knew thought we were crazy and it was far too soon, but sure enough, after following LTL's guide, our son was potty trained within a couple of months and before his 2nd birthday. I highly recommend this daycare. It's not cheap, but for us, it's worth it. Other notes: - they use the Brightwheel app - they will post a picture/video daily so you can see what your child is doing that day - class sizes have been small (but this may be because Bronzeville is a newer location). Our son's class is 8-10 students with 2 instructors.

Questions parents ask about LIVING THE LANGUAGE

Is LIVING THE LANGUAGE a licensed child care provider in Illinois?

Yes. LIVING THE LANGUAGE holds Illinois licence 601098, listed as "License issued (IL)" by the Department of Children and Family Services, licensed as a day care center. Confirm current standing at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov before enrolling.

What ages does LIVING THE LANGUAGE accept?

Illinois licenses LIVING THE LANGUAGE for children 6 weeks to 5 years during the day, with a licensed day capacity of 42. The span is what the licence permits, not a statement of which ages have places free.

What languages are spoken at LIVING THE LANGUAGE?

The licence record lists English. That is what the provider reported to the state, not a guarantee that a speaker is on site at every hour.

Does this page show inspection results for LIVING THE LANGUAGE?

No. Illinois publishes monitoring and licensing reports going back to 2010 through Sunshine at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects LIVING THE LANGUAGE's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the monitoring record.
