Montessori has been a school that I’ve never had second thoughts about. My brother and I came here as kids, and all my kids have had the opportunity to come here as well. Lori is wonderful, and so are all the teachers. I would recommend them to everyone, and I have! Because of them all of my children were so beyond ready for kindergarten!! Thank you for being amazing!!
Anna EscorzaJun 24, 2026My son has been attending McHenry Montessori School since he was an infant and he just tuned three! Ms. Lori, all the teachers and aids have been beyond amazing to work with and learn from. They’re always willing to help, listen to any concerns, and offer advice. When my son was in the infant room, if there were things we needed to work on (like more tummy time) they didn’t even blink and would start implementing new activities and techniques that day. I also love that they incorporated crafts for the babies to do; these are some of my most treasured things and are still proudly on display in our home! When he moved up to the older classrooms, they continued to help in his development. He’d come home singing new songs, having full conversations, and heck they even spearheaded his potty training! (Shoutout to Ms. Lisa, Ms. Jodi, Taylor, Laci, and Mel!) He’s now in his pre-k class with Ms. Sandy and Ms. Sharon, and he is constantly happy to go to school and is always eager to show us his work when we pick him up. I know it’s daunting picking a childcare center to send your children to (especially when they’re infants) but I am so thankful that we chose McHenry Montessori! Our second will be starting there in the spring and I am eager to see him have similar experiences to his brother. 10/10 would recommend!
Kimberley OrtegaDec 19, 2025We enrolled our toddler at McHenry Montessori School in April 2025, and it’s been an absolutely wonderful experience! From day one, Ms. Lori has gone above and beyond to create a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment where our little one feels safe, loved, and excited to learn every day. The care, patience, and attention to detail she provides truly stand out. We’re so grateful to have found a place that feels like a second home for our child. We would highly recommend McHenry Montessori School to any parent seeking a caring, stimulating, and supportive daycare experience! 🌟

EdJan 22, 2025I love McHenry Montessori. My grandson has been going here since he was 2 years old and now he is 7. He loves coming everyday and he loves all the teachers. He especially loves the summer he gets to be there all day. All the teachers are great, they are kind and caring to each child there. They make it fun everyday for them. Thank you for always taking such good care of my boy.

- The licence record lists English. That is what the provider reported to the state, not a guarantee that a speaker is on site at every hour.
Does this page show inspection results for MCHENRY MONTESSORI SCHOOL?
- No. Illinois publishes monitoring and licensing reports going back to 2010 through Sunshine at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov.
