  • For the last two going on three years OPFLA has been such an amazing place for my two kids .When I first came to OPFLA I was a first time mom with a three month old terrified of leaving my baby with people who I wasn’t familiar with .Quickly my worries went away when I was able to meet the amazing teachers at the center .Immediately I notice the connection my first born had with two of her teachers Ms.Gaby and Ms.Jada .Both teachers were phenomenal when it came to my daughter .One of the things that kept me at ease when it came to this place was the fact that the teachers update you with anything and everything ! It’s such an amazing feeling to know what your child/children are doing while you’re at work ,being able to see pictures of the activities they’ve done for the day +more .For what I have seen over the last two years I can truly say I love how Ms.Gray (the owner )hires the best staff ! Each teacher that my kids have came across have been nothing but loving and caring .The teachers at this center really love what they do and they are amazing at keeping track of the development of your child .I love how Ms.Gray has a system where the kids get “report cards “you are able to see what your child has learned over time and what they might need to work on .If you can’t keep track in the app about what your child is doing the report card is a way to get an overview of what they have been working on .This new school year I got the pleasure of meeting Ms.Dominique and Ms .Treana they both have been a great asset to the OPFLA team . Ms.Dominique is the supervisor there and she’s such a great help to the center . Ms. Dominique as well as Ms.Treana treats each kid like their own and is amazing with giving you any advice that can help your child with their development. Ms.Tamika is someone who is also part of staff and she is wonderful .She cooks with love for the kids and truly love what she does .I have loved this staff for multiple reasons but this center has really made me comfortable with leaving my babies with trusted individuals .Each year the center gets better and better .Ms .Gray goes above and beyond for the kids here .I am truly grateful that my kids have somewhere to go where they can learn ,have fun ,and gain new experiences. This school year alone my child has been on two field trips along with the holiday parties they tend to have for the kids .OPFLA is definitely an amazing academy and I wouldn’t think twice about my kids going nowhere else.

  • After nearly nine months, Oak Park Fundamental Learning Academy has proven to be a place where children are safe, loved, and truly nurtured. Oak Park Fundamental Learning Academy states that its core values include quality care, learning and development, family support, and safety and happiness. Through my experience, I can confidently say OPFLA is who they say they are—and they do what they say they do. I began my daycare search when my grandson was four months old. As a mother of six, a grandmother of two, and an educator of 35 years, I asked myself one simple question: Would I feel at peace walking away each morning knowing my grandson would be safe, loved, and engaged in meaningful learning? OPFLA has given me that peace—and more. The staff is exceptional—warm, caring, and highly communicative. Ms. Gray, the owner, Ms. Shayla, Ms. Maribel, Ms. Gaby, Ms. Dominique, Ms. Treanna are a few of the amazing teachers who are taking, or have taken, excellent care of my grandson! The program intentionally supports social-emotional growth, language and communication, cognitive development, and physical development. The Lillio app provides real-time updates on meals, naps, diaper changes, activities, photos, and videos, which brings tremendous reassurance. The facility is clean, modern, and welcoming, with child-friendly classrooms and ample parking. Even at just 17 months, my grandson comes home excited, proudly babbling about his day and showing off his projects. OPFLA is also wonderfully literature-rich, with daily read-alouds and initiatives that put books directly into children’s hands. To be completely transparent, the 9:30 a.m. drop-off cutoff has occasionally been a challenge for our family. However, I understand and respect the need for structure in a child’s day—and I also recognize that punctuality is something I personally need to work on. With prior notice, the center has been willing to accommodate us when possible, which speaks to their professionalism and family-centered approach. In a season of personal loss, having a safe, loving, and dependable place for my grandson has been a true gift. I am deeply grateful for OPFLA and highly recommend it to any family seeking exceptional care.

  • Both our kids have gone here since they were 6 months old. Most of the teachers they’ve had through the years have been so caring and genuinely loved our kids. We’ve always felt comfortable and safe with our kids here. The price is the most reasonable of all the daycares we had found as well. We love all of the teachers, but Ms. Gaby, Ms. Taronda, Ms. Dominque, and Ms. Vanessa have been particularly special to our kids.

  • I love the staff and the atmosphere. The teachers are phenomenal and look after the children as their own. Throughout the day, they challenge our daughter with brain-stimulating activities that help her meet her milestones. This place was great for my daughter and our family, gave us peace of mind, and is truly a hidden gem.
