  • Our family has been using Pitter Patter for the past eight years. They have cared for our three boys from the time they were just 3 months old through grade school, providing daycare, preschool, and before & after school care. The staff is experienced with children of all ages, and throughout all our years there, we never had a single negative experience. Every employee has been caring, friendly, responsible, and simply wonderful people to know. We always felt that our children were safe, well cared for, and in good hands. It’s sad to leave, but all children eventually grow up. We will always cherish our years with Pitter Patter. Thank you for taking such great care of our boys and for being such an important part of our family’s lives.

  • My son will be 4 soon, but he’s been at Pitter Patter since he was just 1 year old and I can’t imagine a better place for him to grow up! Like most kids, he was a little hesitant at first, but within a week he was running inside without even looking back. That says everything about how warm, welcoming, and loving the staff are. Every teacher and staff member knows both my son and me by name, which makes it feel like a true community. They’ve supported not just my son, but me as a parent, even during tough times, like going through job changes. The teachers make my son feel accepted and loved, and it’s clear how much they genuinely care about every child. My son is thriving here. They do so many fun and creative activities, from arts and crafts to outdoor foam/bubble parties — and every day he comes home with a story to tell. I love how they keep me informed with both verbal updates and written notes about his naps, meals, and overall day. The cleanliness of the rooms is also exceptional. Even during cold, flu, and COVID season, they go above and beyond to keep everything clean and disinfected, from the floors to the toys, multiple times a day. The center itself is wonderful, colorful rooms filled with kids’ artwork, well-maintained toys (and LOTS of them!), and an overall warm and inviting atmosphere. They are also incredibly accommodating and understanding, which I think is what truly makes them stand out. If you’re looking for a daycare where your child will be cared for, celebrated, and encouraged to grow, I can’t recommend Pitter Patter enough!

  • We LOVE PITTER PATTER!! My kids have been going to Pitter patter since then were infants and we have always had a great experience. The staff there is very responsive, attentive, professional and they really love the kids! They really do become family! We love the teachers and staff there and felt our kids were getting the very best care and learning so much! Even with my youngest son who had some health issues as an infant, the directors really worked with me to ensure he was getting great care. Lots of extra phone calls and notes about the care he needed. That always really reassured me as a parent! ❤️ The teachers have taught kids so much! After being home cause of covid for a period of time, my son wasn’t getting letters/wasn’t interested much, but after being back on at Pitter Patter for about 2 weeks, my son is writing his name, pointing out letters on his own, and he is excited about letters/learning. He had a renewed interest in learning! And we are so thankful for that and the teachers there! The teachers there put their hearts into their work and truly and care about the kids there as if they are their own. Highly recommend Pitter patter!

  • My daughter attended Pitter Patter for many years. The staff were more than just teachers and directors, they became family. Never did I need to worry about the level of care or attention my daughter received while in there care. I cannot say enough kind things about this center and have recommended them time and time again to many others (all who have had the same experience). Thank you Pitter Patter for being a reliable place to send children and for setting the bar for what child care should be!

  • Pitter Patter is an awful daycare. My 2 year-old son was enrolled there for seven weeks and the care he received was abysmal. During just his first week there has was twice released to us at the end of the day with a dry BM in his diaper, indicating that he had been left to sit in his filth for quite some time. On the second of these two occasions, his diaper was barely fastened, and his sneakers were on the wrong feet. Only the most inattentive caretaker could remain oblivious to his improper gait. I brought this up in writing with executive director Kristi Hook, who never followed up with me, despite her assurance that she would look into it. Just one week later he was again released to us with a BM in his diaper, and additionally we saw that one of his feet had been forced into the heel counter of his sneaker, bending it inwards and resulting in a large blister on his heel. I messaged Kristi about this, attaching a picture of said blister, and was just flat-out ignored. I followed up a week later, and she only then informed that the teachers had apparently looked at his foot the following day and didn’t see any blister, implying that I somehow imagined it. The last straw was this past Friday, when we noticed after bringing him home that his pants reeked of poo. I went to change his diaper expecting a BM, but instead just some dry fecal residue literally fell out as I opened it, with a fair amount still in his butt crack. That his pants smelled so strongly of feces despite there being only some residue tells me that he had again been left to sit in his filth for an extended period of time, until pick-up. As for the teacher who decided it wasn’t necessary to fully clean him after a BM, all I can say is shame on you, and I hope you don’t neglect your own kids like that. Each of these incidents on their own may not be exceptionally alarming, but that all of them (and more, like unexplained bruises on his chin and butt) happened, and in such a short span of time, with zero attempt on behalf of the facility to remedy it, speaks to a pattern of utter disregard. Pitter Patter prides itself on not being corporate-owned, but our son has spent upwards of a year between Bright Horizons in Northbrook and KinderCare in Schaumburg, and we never encountered anything like the above at those centers. See my Google review of KinderCare—I certainly give credit where it’s due. This pandemic has made it especially hard for parents to keep tabs on their kids, so I am sharing our experience at Pitter Patter with others in the hopes that they heed my warning and be extra vigilant of the care their children receive. I do not recommend this daycare. edit 3/29/21: be wary of positive reviews posted right after this one (that were likely solicited by Pitter Patter), they are from accounts with virtually no other reviews as of this edit, very suspicious IMO
