The best school ever! Healthy and fostering environment! For us as parents was very important to find a school where we can feel that our kid is safe physically and mentally. We love their policy of open doors for parents, they are transparent and honest. Also, very good thing is that owners Jenny and Rich are all the time there and they care a lot for the school which I believe contribute a lot to the school excellence.
Marta SarvasJul 13, 2026Our kids loved Primrose! They are well prepared for kindergarten because of Primrose’s emphasis on setting an educational foundation. Excellent administrators and caring staff. The Primrose parent community is top notch too.
Katie StefanichJun 21, 2026We had our older two kids at a Primrose school out of state and when we moved to Long Grove were so thrilled to have our little one start here. The Primrose School of Long Grove lives up to and exceeds our expectations. Wonderful and kind teachers, staff, owners, etc. Also, the school is very connected to the community, which we love!
Kelly StrongJun 8, 2026Its hard to trust your kids with anyone but these are good people. We had a tough time with Kindercare right before we found Primrose. Our son was there for 3 years and just finished Pre-k. They do a great job teaching structure reading math ect., and just getting them ready for the next level. While some teachers may come and go the management and people in charge were always great an on top of things. Its a trusted place and they really do a lot to get your kid involved, active and social.
michael martinezJun 2, 2026Primrose failed to deliver the level of care, professionalism, and accountability represented at enrollment. From the outset, we were transparent about our child’s needs and transition considerations and were assured the center could provide appropriate support. Despite this, shortly after enrollment, during our child’s first experience in both school and childcare, staff questioned her placement and demonstrated minimal patience for age‑appropriate adjustment. Expectations applied were unreasonable for a three‑year‑old. Multiple commitments made by the center were not honored. Promised progress reviews never occurred. Communication was selective and inconsistent, staff proactively contacted us about scheduling inconveniences but showed no concern when our child was absent. We were also provided inaccurate information regarding classroom availability. We were later instructed to disenroll our child due to alleged resource limitations, despite consistently observing staffing levels that did not support this claim. We received reports that our child was treated differently from peers, including inappropriate physical handling by a teacher. Concerns about our child’s distress were not communicated to us by the center; we learned instead from an external source and immediately withdrew her. After our departure, Primrose made no attempt to contact us regarding the sudden withdrawal or our child’s wellbeing. This lack of follow‑up further reflects a deficiency in professional standards and care. Based on our experience, Primrose demonstrated poor follow‑through, unreliable communication, and inadequate support. We would not recommend this center, particularly for families expecting attentive, inclusive, and professionally managed childcare.
Diego VegaApr 13, 2026We had a wonderful experience at Primrose School. My 3-year-old daughter attended here and absolutely loved it—especially her teachers. Every teacher she interacted with was caring, patient, and genuinely invested in the children’s growth. The environment is warm, nurturing, and well-structured, which made us feel confident and at ease as parents. We saw such positive development in her social skills, confidence, and love for learning during her time here. We’re so grateful to the entire Primrose team for creating such a supportive and loving space for our child. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a school that truly cares about their students.
