  • My nephew goes to this academy and absolutely loves it! It's a safe environment with caring teachers and staff (shout out Ms. Ja'Nae) who want to enrich children's lives and give the parents a sense of community

  • I contacted Reggio Academy last year to inquire about future enrollment, at that time I was 5 months pregnant and was not able to come in person due to me being deem a high risk pregnancy. However, The director Miss Shay was very helpful, kind, and extremely knowledgeable . I had a ton of questions and she continued to be patient, and answered every single one of my questions lol. Miss Shay even shared her tenure working with children and even expressed her passion for the curricular that Reggio academy provides daily. It was so reassuring to hear such positive feedback, and it made me feel even more confident about choosing this academy this coming fall. Anywho, I’m excited  about registration this coming August and I’m sure my baby girl will love being in Miss Shay’s care.

  • One year ago to the day my 2 year old son was found on the street (yes, 127th)without pants on by a stranger(an Angel who slammed on her breaks and saved his life), due to the pure negligence of this facility. They were not transparent and did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. A year later and this is all I can even bring myself to say about it. It’s crazy they’re still open. I’ve only heard bad things since our 3 week nightmare with them a year ago. Run far and run fast.

  • Teacher Doniqua is amazing! We moved to Palos 2 years ago and needed daycare for my two kids. We visited numerous day cares and choose this one! Teacher Doniqua has the education, background and training to prepare young preschoolers. She belongs to professional organizations for early childhood education, and daycare. She provides a structured and organized curriculum for learning. She allows for clean, safe outside play. She provide daily pictures and updates to parents so they can see their children. She provides, healthy home made meals and one on one attention. When our son came of age to attend kindergarten they were so prepared. Alphabetic, numbers, shapes, colors, site words etc My 5 year old is so prominent on math thanks to her she also put up homework packet everyday. If you are fortunate to find a spot here, grab it quickly!

  • We had our daughter enrolled in the infant classroom and were thrilled with the care she received. The director (Ariel) and assistant director (Dom) truly loved my daughter. The two teachers in her classroom were great. Our situation changed in regards to our childcare needs so unfortunately we had to discontinue daycare this summer. But I continue to keep in contact with the amazing staff at Reggio.

Questions parents ask about REGGIO ACADEMY

Is REGGIO ACADEMY a licensed child care provider in Illinois?

Yes. REGGIO ACADEMY holds Illinois licence 606995, listed as "License issued (IL)" by the Department of Children and Family Services, licensed as a day care center in Cook County. Confirm current standing at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov before enrolling.

What ages does REGGIO ACADEMY accept?

Illinois licenses REGGIO ACADEMY for children 6 weeks to 12 years during the day, with a licensed day capacity of 90. The span is what the licence permits, not a statement of which ages have places free.

What languages are spoken at REGGIO ACADEMY?

The licence record lists English. That is what the provider reported to the state, not a guarantee that a speaker is on site at every hour.

Does this page show inspection results for REGGIO ACADEMY?

No. Illinois publishes monitoring and licensing reports going back to 2010 through Sunshine at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects REGGIO ACADEMY's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the monitoring record.
